Learning Competency: Predict the effect of changes in abiotic factors on the ecosystem (S7LT-IIj-12)
I – Objectives: At the end of the lesson, 80% of the learners are expected to:
II - Subject Matter: Energy Transfer in the Ecosystem (Food Chain, Food Web & Trophic Levels)
Instructional LM, Laptop, projector and strips of paper, manila paper, scotch tape & pictures
Materials:
Activity:
Group the class into three (3) and let each group to choose a leader to facilitate the group and
a reporter to present the output.
Lesson Proper
Each group will be provided the materials to carry out the activity in five (5) minutes.
Analysis:
Let each group to present their respective output and corresponding points will be given.
Related questions will be raised by the teachers to the learners to deepen their understanding
of the lesson.
How energy is being transfer in the ecosystem?
What is food chain? Food web? The trophic level?
Why do organisms need energy?
More questions will be raised.
Abstraction:
The teacher will then generalize the topic by raising questions to the learners.
Describe the energy transfer in the ecosystem.
Name the group of organisms involve in energy transfer.
Cite more examples of energy transfer in the ecosystem.
Application:
Provided with the materials, let each group to perform the given task about energy transfer in
the ecosystem.
V – Evaluation: A 5– item quiz will be done to measure the learners’ learning of today’s lesson.
VI – Assignment / Please bring the materials needed for the tomorrows activity. Refer to the book pp.160-161
