Dear Professor Minoru,

My name is Ika Nurul Azizah, 22 years old. I am a student from Organic Chemistry Laboratory, Chemistry
Departement, Universitas Gadjah Mada, Indonesia. I graduated from my college in August 2016 with
GPA 3.23 out of 4.00 after finishing my thesis in May 2016.

My Research topic in Undergraduate program is Synthesis and activity test of c-alkyl

calix[4]pyrogallolaryl dodecacinnamate and dodecabenzoate as sunscreen compounds was related to
my research plan in graduate program that is Synthesis of Calix 4 arene Hybrid with Chitosan and Its
Studies for Adsorbtion and Extraction Procesess of Heavy Metals Ion in Water

Currently I am interested in advanced synthesis organic and your paper of research about Functional
importance of the sugar moiety of jasmonic acid glucoside for bioactivity and target affinity. This
research requires the scientific approach of the wide utilization of various techniques in natural product
chemistry, such as isolation of bioactive substance, organic synthetic chemistry, and biochemical
handlings of the cell and protein.

At this moment, Currently I work as a part time tutor in one of study course center in Indonesia and I am
looking the opportunity for continuing my study. I am interested to conduct research about organic
synthesis, natural product and eager to continue my study for a higer degree, master degree.

I am hopping that my research topic is relevant to the research area in your department. However, if the
research is not related to your research interest, I do not mind changing the research topic to your
research interest.

My academic supervisors were Prof. Dr. Jumina, and Prof. Dr. Sri Juari Santosa, they recommended me
to continue my study abroad. I am looking for possibilities for conducting research in your institution.

I have read from the website of your university that there is a chance to enroll for master degree
through IGPAS 2017 program in Special Course in Organic Chemistry and I am eager to try my best for it.
