u Chegg’s Expert takes seriously this type of conducts


u We have suspended and revoked plenty of tutor IDs ( more than we
would want ) in order to avoid this type of conduct
u This typically has NO second changes
u Reports can lead directly to revocation, no second chances!

u Avoiding direct instruction
u Answering questions other than the stated by the student
u Answering by hand when required by typing
u Using any other method/approach than the stated by the student
u Abusive skipping
u Skipping due to lack of knowledge
u Purposely skipping for ”easier” or “shorter” questions
u Uploading incomplete/blurry images intentionally
u Uploading rotated, inverted, blurry images knowingly
u Uploading partially or with

u Answer just “A” or “Not B or C”

u Tutor asks for student’s contact information ( e-mail, phone number, etc..)

u Tutor provides spam answers, such as copy pasted material

u Use bad language/incorrect language
u Use slangs/informal abbreviations

u Question of student is in another language – Do NOT answer in English
u Answering “small” or “temporal” answers to answer for later

u Answering notes/comments such as “not enough information” as an
answer
u Answering incorrect answers

maintaining the highest standards in academic work.
u Experts will not participate in academic dishonesty.

u Plagiarism is the act of copying someone else’s work and


representing it as your own in any way
u Chegg follows a zero tolerance policy against plagiarism
u Plagiarism can be as simple as copying a definition or as simple as
copy/pasting another site’s answered question.

u Don’t copy/paste, screenshot, or take photos of any work that isn’t yours
u Don’t use any search engine
u Don’t post links to external sources
u Don’t use any images, graphs, charts, diagrams that are not yours
u Don’t make any attempts to pass off work as your own by altering
slightly

Can I answer active Q&A found
online?
u Many time you can find some Q&A which are active via Search
Engine
u Do NOT answer those.
u This is a violation of the guidelines, since you are Hand-picking the
questions.
I have offline access. Can I answer
other questions online?
u No
u This is considered a violation of your privileges
u Offline access is given only to fix the given material by your team
leader
Can I ”like” my own answer?

u No.
u Avoid this cheating conduct.
The student asks for a certain methodology I
do not know, but I know how to do it another
way. Should I answer it this way?
u No, if the student requires a specific methodology, use that
methodology.
u If you do not know how, please avoid answering the question, even
if your methodology is simple/easier/etc…
Can I add an external link with an image/text
from myself?

u No.
u Always add all material on the textbox given. Upload any image or
write any text in the given dialog box.
u Avoid external links
Can I present myself?

u No.
u There is no need for presentation.
u Avoid any kind of contac tinformation. Answer the given question
only.
I need an external software to answer the
question given. Should I use it?

u No.
u Avoid using any external software. Skip under “insufficient
knowledge”
Can I add a thank you note or please rate me
note?

u No.
u Avoid adding any kind of note requiring the student to rate you

u No, you should answer all by your own knowledge/words.


u Avoid any kind of links/bibliography of external material

the question. Can I make assumptions for this

u Skip under insufficient information/data. State the student the
required material
u Never make assumptions, specially from “raw” data
What if the student asks for a
formal/text book definition?
u Describe and explain with your own words.
u Never copy/paste or re-write the definition found in the textbook,
since this is considered violation of copyright
Can I copy the student’s image
into my answer?
u No, avoid any external image, even if the student has uploaded it.
u Always draw/write your own material
Should I add a very known diagram
for explanation?
u No, never, even if the diagram/image/graph is free of copyright.
u This is not your material, do not upload it
u Only diagrams/images of yours can be uploaded
