“ The effect of noises in academic environment ”

Every schools around the world usually have one goal in mind which is
educating the students. While this does sound attractive and better for
future humankind, there is not a single “perfect” school. Even among
the finest experts, professionals, architects, engineers, designers, et
cetera, nobody has ever created an absolute environment for learning.
Nonetheless, one of the fatal factor that caused the downfall of
education is excessive noises. Although this difficulty has already been
solved but not everywhere is an affluent place where people could
easily build the schools that they wanted to. Hence, we need a clean
way of reducing the noise that disrupt the balance of education.

Before anything else, why do we need to reduce the noise? Well, let’s
distinguish noises from sounds first: one is a harmonic motion of wave
pleasing to the ear and mind, the other one is an inconsistant wave that
might be a nuisance for us. There are two types of background sounds:
white sounds and black sounds. Black resemble pure emptiness… so
you can guess that black sounds are lack of noise. White sounds
stimulate light noises such as from falling leaves, rainfalls, air
conditioner or even thunder. Those two types of sounds do not have
bad reputation for distractions but instead relaxing yourself. On the
contrary, noises are considered to be inconveniences dissonances.
These composes of external and internal noises: Noises from machines,
industries, traffics to plumbing systems, adjacent room.
Then, why do the students make unnecessary noises in the first place. It
could be from the lesson: the work, material is tedious, challenging,
problematic or maybe even effortless. Not to mention the long periods
of time and have no clue what they are doing, therefore, their
concentration will be reduce over time. In addition, the approach of
teaching might no be the appropriate style for them. For that reason,
let’s see what the students, teachers think about what they think about
unintentional and intentional noises in school:

One of the interviewers spoken that noises are all around us and can
have both benefits along with consequences. Despite the fact that
noises are irritating, the interviewee believed that it can motivate the
students to be more engaging in their study. In another way, noises can
be distracting for them and outweights the benefits. The respondent
suggests us some solutions for instances, making rules and regulations,
making the material more captivating.

Another one from the teacher said that noises “force” them to be
louder in order to make them aware that they stop and be more
respectful. This will causes their voices to gradually get worse and
worse until they cannot speak well enough for the students to hear
them adequately. The health effects will also be a huge burden in their
career which affect the students as well. Symptoms for examples, loss
of sleep, headace, tiredness, poor appetite will damage not only them
but a small part of the education system
To that end, noises are definitely a major pain to deal with for both the
students and especially teachers. Their physical and mental status is
going to be diminish little by little. Ultimately, there are not much
straightforward ways to establish a firm solution to noises but here are
some of the creative ones. Ideally, the room will be place in a
systematic manner for the sake of making the sound waves go away or
reduce by a lot. Additionally, the lessons should be more appealing and
intriguing. From the students themselves, they should understand that
what they are doing is creating room full of difficulties ahead.

In conclusion, noises place a heavy catastrophe if the education system

remain the same as before. We should co-operate together to
determine a valid answer or else there will be bad news for us.
