Research Design
The descriptive type of research gives to describe the nature and pattern of a situation
as it exist at the time of the study that discussed descriptive research as a collection of data in
order to test hypotheses answering the problems of the study. Survey method, is
the sampling of individual units from a population and associated techniques of survey data
collection, such as questionnaire construction and methods for improving the number and
The data of this study was taken from response of criminology student in University of
Saint Anthony, Iriga city for the school year 2019-2020. But since the population of the
respondents is too huge, the researchers will be using the Sampling Technique that refers to a
process of selecting respondents or people to answer questions meant to yield data for a
research.
The major instrument used to gather the essential information of this research will be
the survey-questionnaire based on the specific questions in the statement of the problem.
Questionnaire. This study made use principally of a questionnaire for the gathering of
data. The researcher prepared sets of questionnaire based on the problems of the study. It is
also the basis structure of prepared and distributed materials to assure responses to certain
questions. The question is accuracy intended to envision information about the conditions to

questionnaire, the researchers formally asked permission to the school administration for the
distribution of the questionnaire to the respondents. The researcher chased the cooperation of
use of a short explanation to the respondents on the main objective of the study and brief
orientation on the contents of the questionnaire. The accomplished questionnaire was collected
right away after the respondents had finishing answering it. The retrieval rate of the
questionnaire was 100%. After all questionnaires were retrieved, the data were tailed and
measured statistically. Thus, the data for the respondent and dependent variables were

to different variables included in the study. All data gathered were presented quantitatively. The
Slovin’s Formula. In order to get the number of respondents, calculate the sample
size (n) given the population size (N) and a margin of error (e).

Percentage Technique. In order to determine the respondents’ nominal data, this consists of
the raw counts of the frequency’s occurrence of the characteristics under consideration.
Ordinary data/ treatment was based on the frequency through the percentage formula.
