To whom it may concern,

The reason for my not meeting SAP standards is because I studied abroad for one
semester in the fall of 2018. I am still on track to graduate next semester once I receive a
petition approval from Herberger but that is the reason I have exceeded the maximum
number of credit hours. I decided to take this semester away to further my career in the
theatre and it was an extremely valuable experience that I would not trade for anything. I
also changed my public policy major through W. P. Carey to a minor last semester but I had
already taken many of the pre-requisite courses for the major. Considering these
circumstances, I have strived to maintain my financial aid eligibility this semester, including
my Flinn scholarship. The conditions that prevented me from meeting SAP standards are
going to be resolved since I am graduating next semester. I need to take 15 more credits to
graduate next semester. I have always kept my GPA up even when I was taking a semester
away. I still took a class to satisfy the requirements of my (at that time) major in public
service and public policy. I have been an excellent student and member of the ASU
community my four years here and I hope that this issue is resolved and I can graduate next
semester. I have also conferred with my academic advisor, Corey Carlson, and he undersigns
this statement. He confirms that I am in good academic standing and meet SAP standards as
of this semester.

Sincerely,
Vaibhavi Mohan
