A. Translate the following sentences to Japanese (Casual form) and then explain how you came up with the
Japanese translation.
Sentence: That is not John’s car.
Translation: Sore wa john san no kuruma dewa arimasen
Explanation: Sore was used because the topic which is a demonstrative acts like a pronoun. John was place
before the particle no because he is the owner of the car. Dewa arimsen was used because the sentence is in its
negative present/future tense.
