Daphna Itzhaky – Flute&Piccolo
Principal flutist of the Israel NKO Chamber Orches-
tra 2008-2018, and before that Principal flutist of the
Be’er Sheva Sinfonietta and a member of the Israeli
Opera Orchsestra.
Performed many times as a soloist with those orches-
tras, as well as in Abu Gosh Festival.
Plays regularly with the Israel Contemporary Players
Ensembles, various Chamber Ensembles, and free-
lances with best Israeli orchestras.
After graduating Cum Laude from the Music academy
in Tel Aviv University, completed her Artist Diploma
and Master’s Degree in Amsterdam & Utrecht Con-
servatories.
While living in the Netherlands, was touring Europe
as a member of the Utrecht Flute quartet, which spe-
cializes in contemporary music and in playing on all
kinds of flutes, and to which various composers has
dedicated their compositions.
Daphna played in many masterclasses and festivals
around the world, among which are Verbier Festival
in Switzerland, Impuls contemporary music festival in
Austria and “Classical Winter” in Jerusalem.
Daphna won the AICF scholarships through her study
years in Israel and abroad, and served in the Israel
Military Band during her army service.
Since her return to Israel in 2005, Daphna is a Flute
teacher and Chamber Music instructor in Shtriker –
the Israel Music Conservatory in Tel Aviv.
Shiri Coneh - Classical Guitar
Shiri started studying the classical guitar with Jo-
seph Urshalmi and graduated with honors her Bach-
elor's degree at the "Jerusalem Academy of Music
and Dance" under the direction of Joseph Urshalmi.
Throughout these years, Shiri was a winner of the
"America-Israel Cultural Foundation" scholarships
with honors. In 2002 she won the first prize at the
"Ariane Yerushalmi- Eldor Guitar Competition" in Is-
rael and received a special prize given by the Spanish
Embassy for performance of Spanish music.
Shiri continued her studies for Master's degree at the
Mozarteum University in Salzburg, Austria with Eliot
Fisk and Ricardo Gallen and at the Klagenfurt Conser-
vatory with Marco Tamayo. In 2007 she had graduat-
ed at the Mozarteum with special honors.
Shiri has participated in numerous International Gui-
tar Festivals and is invited to give concerts and mas-
terclasses in Israel and in International Guitar Festivals
all over the world.
During her studies in Salzburg she had played con-
certs for the Jehudi Menuhin's "Live Music Now" orga-
nization as part of the guitar trio "Trio Collage", which
successfully continues performing with its unique rep-
ertoire. The debut CD of “Trio Collage” was released
in 2012.
She performed with violinist Gil Sharon and his quar-
tet, as part of the "Amati Ensemble" in Europe. Shi-
ri also collaborated with the Israeli Opera Orchestra
under the direction of Daniel Oren and played as a
soloist with The Netanya Kibbutz Orchestra at the
Guitar-Gems Festival.
Shiri is a first prize winner at the 1st Berlin Internation-
al Guitar Competition in 2006 and at the 8th Belgrade
Guitar-Art International Competition in 2007.
