The expenditures listed in the budget are related to The Great Gatsby Case Files project

because they are the means to which the students will express their creativity and imagination.
To be able to complete the lesson with as much real-world application as possible, the students

need to be able to dress up and take part in every process. The props and costumes are needed

because they will put the students in a real-world situation without leaving the classroom. The

office supplies (pens, paper, classification folders, etc.) are needed because the students have to

have a way to write down their process and organize their work. The technology aspects of the

budget (laptops, printer, laminator, etc.) are also needed for the completion of this project

because the students will have to compete in a fast paced work environment just like in the real-

world, and these technology aspects will help contribute to their speed and effectiveness.

Overall, the budget contains every item that is necessary to complete this project both

successfully and effectively. Without even a single component, the project won’t be as

innovative and thought-provoking as it could be.
