PROGRAMME REPORT

1. Programme Title : Cooking Competition

2. Date : 15th October 2019

3. Day/Time : 9.30 am-11.00 am

4. Venue : Culinary Room & A-1-03

5. Objectives : To allow students to demonstrate their culinary knowledge and skills related

to: developing and following a recipe, preparation of a dish, and displaying the dish before a

judging panel where it will be evaluated on flavour, taste and palatability.

6. Target Group : students of Primary 6

7. Activities Details : 21 Primary 6 pupils divided into 6 groups. Each group had to prepared main

dish (fried rice). A cooking demonstration from Mr Charles from International School teacher,

showed them how to prepare the fried rice. All ingredients prepared by the teacher. Side dish

prepared by the students. After the cooking session ended, all students display their dish in the

classroom.

8. Evaluation of the Programme:

8.1 Strengths : Able to motivate students’ interest and discover their talent.

8.2 Weaknesses : lack of cooking experience.

8.3 Suggestion for Improvement: Continue this programme in the future to expose students with

culinary world.
