Mechanical Properties
The mechanical properties are given as typical values and refer to the all-weld metal, with the exception of aluminium and its
alloys, the values of which refer to welded joints. Data referring to preheat and interpass temperature, as well as heat
treatment, are available in the relevant standard for welding consumables. It should be noted, that the mechanical properties
of welded joints depend upon the base metal, dimensions of the component, welding position and weld parameters, so the
properties of a welded joint can deviate from those of the all-weld metal.
