FCOM-PRO-ABN-80, FCTM AO-090 (NO STD Callout)

NOTE: Try to early recognition any incapacitation: Routine monitoring and instrument x-check. Advise the other crewmember
when not feeling well. Check any symptoms as pale facial expression, incoherent speech, irregular breathing, etc.

1) Assume control and safe flight path. Announce “I have control”

2) Declare emergency to ATC

3) Take any measeure to assure incapacitated crewmember does not interfere with controls.
(Consider retaining the incapacitated pilot). Seek aid: Call Cabin Attendant ASAP: “Purser to
cockpit, please”

4) Attendant: Tight & lock shoulder harnesses, push seat completely AFT, recline seat back. If body
cannot be removed, attendant remains in cockpit and reads checklists.
SECOND PHASE: LAND ASAP
5) In coordination with attendant: Arrange medical assistance at
arrival
-Request assitance from any medical qualified passenger Prepare approach and read
-Check for a Company type rated pilot on board checklists earlier than usual.
Request radar vectors & long
INCAPACITATION AT ROTATION: When at the SECOND “rotate” callout PF approach
does’nt respond, PNF becomes PF: “I HAVE CONTROL”. Rotate and clean the Land from fit pilot seat
acft setting autopilot ASAP
