Recordando a los difuntos alrededor del mundo

The purpose of this project at my spanish class project is investigated the differences of

how the chinese celebrate the day of the deaths. When I got the project I felt that it will be

interesting because am going to learn a lot of a new country. To learn a new celebration then the

country I now from my culture. To go outside the box and actually research of countries that

called the action and will have interesting facts. A goal I created for myself and the my group is

to work like a team and split it in half and have different information that will help with the

research. In the group we were three and the three of us had split it in half and have our own

slides to know what we will say when it time to present. The important goal that we had was to

turn in the project in time and have all the facts ready to be present in the class.

The decisions that we made toward the project that we had to do was too either do

flashcards or make voices over that will tell the information of instead of making us do reading

out of board and not knowing what say. There were a lot of information that we wanted to but we

only had to put the important facts that will help us describe the information that will help us

describe the chinese festival of day of the deaths. The three hechos that we had to had to come

out form culturegrams but we had to do it in class because the website only works at school but

nowhere else. One decisions that we had to but in our project is that we had to put a video that
will help us to tell a legend that came from china and that it was important because its were they

started to recognize their dead.

I learn that qingming festival they fly kites and in the nights they light up linters so they

can remember their love ones. Qingming festival was original was called cold food which means

that they will eat cold food no hot food. They also eat rices ball this food is cold no hot they cook

the a day before the celebration will start, also have like a type of flowers and they also clean

their love ones tomb and add fresh soil that will take the bad separate way. That in other

countries they have different culture like in mexico they use different food and a tradition.

Something that I learn from myself is that I finish the work and I was ready to present to the

class. At first I was like scared that I will do it wrong and I thought that I was not going to finish

on time but gladly I finish on time. Something i did very well was that I gather all the

information and was ready to present. An area I need to improvement in is the communication

that we need to have as a group. They hardly help me and I was stuck on certain areas and and to

find new research that will make us improve our presentation. Next time, I will improved the

voice overs because there were really rushed because their were really hard to find out how to

places it and everything. I am proud that we are finishing the presentation and be ready to present

to tell the class what we learned.

In conclusion, I uses some School Wide outcomes, I investigated the world by identifying

how do china celebrate Qingming Festival in China. I analyzed how the dead are remembered in

China and compared with another celebration at other countries . For instances, I researched

about Qingming and found three facts about China’s culture during the winter china likes to

wear tick pijamas to keep warm, they also buy fresh meat and vegetables, and they use
chopsticks to eat their food. Also I listened to my peers presentations to see if they were similar

to my presentation or not and in what ways the festivals were similar. The Qingming Festival is

similar to El Dia de los Muertos in Mexico because they go visit their ancestors at their tomb.

Moreover, I communicated ideas by selecting appropriate digital media to share our findings and

investigate about the day of the dead in China. I selected and used appropriate technology and or

media to develop a presentation about the Qingming Festival. For example, I used the internet to

research about the Qingming Festival. I used google slides to create my presentation about how

the day Aprendo que en el festival de qingming vuelan cometas y en las noches encienden

los dientes para que puedan recordar a sus seres queridos.

El festival Qingming era original, se llamaba comida fría, lo que significa que comerán comida

fría, no comida caliente. También comen arroces. Esta comida es fría, no caliente, se cocinan el

día anterior al comienzo de la celebración, también tienen un tipo de flores y también limpian la

tumba de sus seres queridos y agregan tierra fresca que tomará el mal camino por separado. Que

en otros países tienen una cultura diferente, como en México usan diferentes alimentos y una

tradición. Algo que aprendo de mí mismo es que termino el trabajo y estaba listo para presentarlo

a la clase. Al principio tenía miedo de que lo hiciera mal y pensé que no iba a terminar a tiempo,

pero con mucho gusto termino a tiempo. Algo que hice muy bien fue que reuní toda la

información y estaba listo para presentar. Un área en la que debo mejorar es la comunicación que

necesitamos tener como grupo. Apenas me ayudaron y me quedé estancado en ciertas áreas y

para encontrar nuevas investigaciones que nos hagan mejorar nuestra presentación. La próxima

vez, mejoraré las voces en off porque hubo mucha prisa porque fueron muy difíciles de averiguar
cómo colocarlas y todo. Estoy orgulloso de que estemos terminando la presentación y estemos

listos para presentar para contarle a la clase lo que aprendimos.
