Activity The teacher will have access to storing 1000 books.
Providing access to students, the teacher will allow
students to choose their own person write about.
First, a sample book created by the teacher will be
shared to encourage creativity and provide a basic
idea of what is expected. There will be a minimum
of 5 pages needed per book. Students will create
their own book on a tablet with facts and
information about the specific person they chose.
Students must include contributions made by each
person significant to US history. Students will save

Technology
Book Creator is a mobile app that stores a library of
creative, unique, personalized books created by
students. The app allows teachers minimal book

storage for free, but 1000 books for a yearly,
reasonable fee. Students and teachers can also
work together, simultaneously, building books
across multiple devices.
The teacher will share with students a sample quiz
personally created. After sample, students will be
divided into groups of 2-4. Each group will create
their own 10 question multiple choice quiz to be
shared with the class. The groups will have thirty
minutes to come up with questions and answers
pertaining to multiple people and their
contributions, as well as format their questions into
a quiz. Students will log in to the app via
chromebook, tablet, laptop, or mobile; whichever
is available. Each group will share their special
code with the class and the class will participate in
each group’s quiz.
Kahoot is a mobile app that allows for teachers and
students alike create multiple choice questions and
format the questions into a game. Kahoot can be
accessed from any device and is free for a basic
version, but a yearly, reasonable fee provides access
to more games, open-ended questions, and much
more.
