Professional Goals

Concerning my clinical practice and direct patient care, my professional short-term goals include
developing and improving nursing skills and related nursing skills specific to my unit I will be
starting my nursing practice on. Additionally, I want to stay up to date on any new graduate
skills training and educational forums. My professional long-term goals include enhancing my
critical thinking skills, furthering education, and joining the American Nurses Association. This
benefits patient care by allowing me to be up to date on nursing advancements to provide the
highest quality of care.

My higher educational short- and long-term goals include being certified in ACLS and PALS
before starting as a new graduate. For my long-term goal, I want to begin the process of getting
my DNP to be a nurse practitioner
