Other way by which we could advance the objective of the program is through the

information education campaign on developing the poster and slogan contest to all qualified
students of Antonio M. Lacson, Sr. Memorial High School. This will focus on the cognitive,
affective and behavioral aspects to increase the health seeking behavior of young people.
The objective of the contest is to gather young artists and express through visual means the
5 healthy habits we should remember every day in the posters. This contest aims to help
adolescents become advocate for proper healthy living with their families, friends and
communities; to increase perception of the young people’s right to good health and wellbeing; and
to create awareness that by making small, simple tweaks to everyday routine can live a healthier
life.

QUALIFIED PARTICIPANTS
1. Enrolled secondary students regardless of year level. They should be the 1st placers in the
classroom level contest. In case classroom level eliminations could not be conducted, the adviser
can endorse its official representative for the school contest to the organizer before the conduct of
the contest and the endorsement should include the name of contestant, name of coach and grade
level.

MECHANICS
1. The contest is on the spot.
2. Drawing and slogan should revolve around the 5 healthy habits. The slogan (in English)
should be written in the drawing material and number of words should not be more than ten (10).
3. Contestants are given one and a half hour to finish their poster slogan.
4. Contestants should bring their own drawing materials and cartolina. Oil pastel will be the only
medium allowed.
5. Slogan should not be written in the cartolina or drawing material prior to the conduct of the
contest.
6. Sketches/patterns are not allowed to be carried by the contestants inside the contest hall.
7. Violations to the above rules will lead to the disqualification of the contestants.
8. The decision of the judges shall be final and non-appealable.
9. The entries will become property of school organizer and will be used in statistical advocacy
activities.
CRITERIA

The poster shall be judged based on the following:

Relevance to the topic - 15%
Craftsmanship - 15%
Originality - 10%
Visual Impact - 10%
Subtotal - 50%
The slogan shall be judged based on the following:
Relevance to the topic - 15%
Creativity (i.e. language used) - 15%
Originality - 15%
Impact and Presentation - 5%
Subtotal - 50%
TOTAL - 100%

DATE/VENUE
The contest will be on November 25, 2019, 8:00 AM at SHS Industrial Building, Antonio M.
Lacson, Sr. Memorial High School.

REGISTRATION TIME
The registration time will be 8:00 AM to 9:00AM. A grace period of 15 minutes after 9:00AM
will be given to late comers. Participants who arrive after the grace period will no longer be
allowed to join the contest.

PRIZE
Certificate of Recognition will be given to the winner. Finalists will be given Certificate of
Participation.
