Contingency Plans
One problem that could happen during the photoshoot could be that the SD card could
corrupt. I would solve this issue in multiple ways. The 1st being that I would take an extra SD
card. The 2nd way around the problem is that I would also set up a second shooting day.
A second thing that might go wrong during the photoshoot is that the cameras batteries may
die. I would solve this issue by taking a second battery and make sure that they are both
charged fully before I take the camera away.
A third issue that could arise during the photoshoot is that the camera itself is broken. I
would counter this problem by maybe taking a second camera if the 1st one breaks.
A fourth problem that could happen is that if the model isn’t available on the day. The way I
would get around this problem is by having a 2nd shooting date planned and having a backup
model if the 1st choice doesn’t turn up.

Relevant legal and ethical issues

The 1st legal issue that may potentially affect the photoshoot would be copyright. Copyright
protects peoples work legally. This means that no one can copy your work and post it as
their own and gain from it. This affects a lot of products, such as song lyrics, manuscripts,
manuals, computer programs, photography, painting, video footage, films, broadcasts and
cable programmes. However, the copyright act protects a lot more than the listed. My
photoshoot will abide by the copyright law by not copying any other magazine cover with tag
lines, font styles, magazine name and more.
The 2nd legal issue that could potentially affect the photoshoot would be the obscene
publications act. The act details that an article shall be deemed to be obscene if its effect or
(where the article comprises two or more distinct items) the effect of any one of its items is, if
taken as a whole, such as to tend to deprave and corrupt persons who are likely, having
regard to all relevant circumstances, to read, see or hear the matter contained or embodied
in it. This means that any media product that could possibly corrupt its viewers is a criminal
offence. My photoshoot would abide by this by not showing any corrupting behaviour or
images.
Intellectual property could be a 3rd legal issue that affects the photoshoot. Intellectual
property protects your work from being stolen. This includes the names of your products or
brands, your inventions, the design or look of your products, things you write, make or
produce. Intellectual property applies to you if you created it (and it meets the requirements
for copyright, a patent or a design, bought intellectual property rights from the creator or a
previous owner, have a brand that could be a trade mark. I will abide by this by making a
totally unique product with no copied brand names, cover lines, or pictures.
The 4th legal issue that could possibly affect my shoot, would be trespass. Trespass is where
you go onto a property without permission from the owner. I will abide by this law by staying
on public or my own property.
The 5th and final legal issue that could arise is the privacy law. This is when someone’s
private information is released, such as a full name, family, address, without consent. I will
abide by this law by making sure no private information or members of the public are in the
picture, including the models.
The 1st ethical issue that could affect the shoot would be representation. This issue is about
causing harm, or damaging someone or somethings representation, this could also mean a
certain group of people, such as people suffering from disability. I will abide by this by not
posting anything that could harm any type of representation.
The 2nd ethical issue that could affect my photoshoot is offence and harm. This means
showing anything that could cause harm or offence, such as having offensive text or
anything depicting anything offensive. I will abide by this by not taking anything offensive or
harmful.
