Journal 1.

As a bachelor education student, we experience many things during each semester, the
good experience and the one that would build on our personalities and teaching strategies.
For this semester, I am experiencing a new thing. Being in my high school and meeting
my high school teachers again as a teacher is a weird thing beside it is a good one as well.
The first week was not as I expected to be. It was almost a wasted one since I did nothing
but teaching a small stage and did not have variety of time to be involved with the
students yet I tried to make myself into the school as much as I can. I greeted some of my
old teachers, met the principal and saw one of my MST (mentor school teacher) as well
which made me happy because I love her and she taught me many things during my
teaching practice. For the first lesson, I was expecting the students to be noisy and not be
able to control them but they were not. I started to introduce myself through a game, they
need to describe each other so am I, this made them get more comfortable with me and
we tried to talk more as well. This week, I initiated to teach a small part from my MST’s
lesson. Teaching grade eleven was a new experience that I want to end it with a good
relationship with my students as well as the teacher and learn new strategies, build up on
my personality and be a good teacher.
