Letter Writing
No.2, Shwe Nu Street
Yangon.
20th July, 2016
Dear Teacher Win,
I hope you are well. I thought of writing to you once the matriculation result is
announced. Well, the result has come out. I got two distinctions-English and Biology.
I'd like to express my heart-felt thanks to you your help in doing so well in the English
subject.
I remember the good old days when you taught us English in the eighth standard.
I began to have a basic foundation and knowledge of English vocabulary and how new
words are formed. You also taught us the basic structures and patterns of the English
language in our grammar class. You moved us away from sentences to paragraphs.
Because of you, I can avoid rote learning and express myself well in English. Your clear
explanations made us understand the passages in the texts. I didn't find any difficulty
with the reading passages, either. Thank you again, teacher, for the pains you took to
share your knowledge of English with us and making us form regular study habits and
how to study carefully and thoroughly.
Please take care of your health. I'll write to you again when I have free time.
Yours affectionately,
Su Su
