Content

Online For this activity the student will use the simulation to learn about how plants
Activity grow. The teacher will post the simulation and the instructions on what to do on
the online classroom board. The students will follow the instructions that the
teacher left to complete the simulation. The instructions will be to use the three
different experiment plants the simulation provides. For the first plant, no water
or sunlight will be given to the plant. The students are to record how much it
grows, if at all. For the second plant the students will give it only water. The
students will record how much it grows, if at all. For the last plant, the student
will give it water and sunlight. The student will record how much it grows, if at all.
Once they have all their recordings down from each plant, they will reflect on why
they think a plant didn’t grow and why they think one did grow. When the
students meet for the online class, they will need to be prepared to share their
thoughts. The teacher will turn on the mics of the student that is sharing so they
student is able to speak. Once everyone shares, the teacher will have a group
discussion about why some plants didn’t grow and why some did. The students

should take away from the lesson knowing what is needed for a plant to grow
properly.
