Category Observation Notes Evidence

Visual -The main Instagram face shows its

users in one screen and place.

-Instagram’s logo is very recognized


worldwide. Mainly because of its
popularity and logo colors. We can find
the name in a type of cursive font on top
of the main screen of the app.

-The logo is also mixed with its features


such as “IGTV” within the app.
Functionality -The omitted, counterintuitive scrolling,
and having all basic functions within
thumb reach and no tedious searching
keeps its tasks very clear to the user.
Proves its ease of use and keeps the user
engaged in various tasks.

- Displaying as well its various features.

Evaluation of -Everything on Instagram’s interaction is

content creators and designers.
Influence on -Ads and regular user’s promotion has

it will automatically display for the user.
Now, not necessarily it will always display
and give audio since the app deactivates
audio for auto-play videos until the user
tap for audio.

Overall The more I consciously interact the Instagram platform, I realize that many of the pages that we

follow are suggested by algorithms, also the ads or promos of different stores or brands. That
everything on this platform is within reach of our thumb. In addition, in only one application there are
many areas to explore. Just as there is so much to do only with an application that is fascinating
how many activities you can do under a single account.

Instagram is a platform that today is used to promote through those people who have some kind
of influence on a group. It can be an influence on personal development, beauty, fashion, video
games, celebrity scandals, among other topics. But Instagram already keeps the user constantly
entertained and attentive to the new content shared on the platform via pop-up alerts and
sounds. The "influencers" are a large group that have been getting strong through Instagram
posts and promos, so they persuade their followers to either buy, look a certain way or start
doing what these “influencers” are doing while their followers engage with their posts and
content. Therefore, one could conclude that Instagram is advancing to a marketing perspective
through these "influencers."
