General Setup for Training Project-

The location of the training projects can be found in the folder titled ‘AVEVA Engineering [14.2]
User Training Project & Supporting Files’.

This Folder contains zipped copies of the following projects:

- Training Project– (For AVEVA Engineering User Training): Project developed specifically
for Engineering user Training Guide

The use of the Training Project is supported by the following referenced projects (AVEVA
Everything3D - Projects 2.1.0.7):

- APS (AVEVA Plant Sample Project): This contains the schematic, design and dictionary
database required for the demonstration of data integration

For the use of the Engineering Administration guide, the trainee will be expected to create a
new project (called ‘Training’ or anything else), or work with an existing project. The full
project has been included as a reference to aid the training.

The folder ‘Supporting Files [ AVEVA Engineering User Training 14.2]’ contains all essential macros

1. FLEXIBLE EXPLORER FUNCTIONS

The Flexible explorer functions folder provided, contains 3 additional function files
(getAreasForSystemACE.pmlfnc, getEngineeringClassesACE.pmlfnc and
getSubSystemsACE.pmlfnc) which are specific to the Training project. The project requires
these files in order to maintain the integrity of its configured Flexible explorer templates.

Please copy these files to the “PMLLIB > FlexibleExplorer / function” folder in the AVEVA
Engineering Installation folder.

Note: Users must have appropriate access right to modify the “pml.index” file.

Run “pml rehash all” syntax in Engineering-Tag module to modify the “pml.index” file.
NOTE: It is recommended to exit and re-enter AVEVA Engineering-Tag module after running
the “pml rehash all” syntax.
