Homemade Sauce Cheat Sheet

Easy Homemade Teriyaki Sauce: Sweet Chile Soy Sauce
¼ cup soy sauce (I like reduced sodium) 2 tablespoons sweet chile sauce
¼ cup water 1 tablespoon soy sauce
2-4 tablespoons rice vinegar (to taste) Juice of ½ a lime
4 tablespoons crushed pineapple
2 tablespoons pineapple juice
1 clove garlic, minced
1 teaspoon grated ginger
Teriyaki Sweet Chile Sauce
2 tablespoons teriyaki sauce/glaze
1 tablespoon cornstarch
1 tablespoon sweet chile sauce
4-5 tablespoons honey (to taste)
½ teaspoon sriracha sauce
INSTRUCTIONS

In a small pot whisk soy sauce, water, and cornstarch Tzatziki Sauce
together until smooth. Add any of the optional additional 1 cucumber, peeled and small diced
ingredients you are using (vinegar, garlic, ginger, etc) . 1/2 cup greek yogurt
Heat over medium-high heat until warm and then whisk in juice of 1/2 a lemon (to taste...start with 1/4)
honey until dissolved. 1/4 teaspoon salt
Bring to a boil. Reduce heat to medium and whisk 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
constantly until desired thickness is reached. Do not leave cayenne pepper to taste if desired
unattended it thickens quickly once it gets boiling and will
rapidly burn.
Taste and adjust as desired. If too thick, thin with additional Sticky Honey Garlic Sauce
water to desired consistency.
NOTES ⅓ cup chicken stock
Sauce will thicken as it stands. If too thick simply whisk 2 tablespoons soy sauce
in a few tablespoons of warm water at a time until desired ⅓ cup honey
consistency is reached. 2 tablespoons rice vinegar
1 tablespoon tomato paste
½ teaspoon grated ginger
Chimichurri Sauce ½ teaspoon hoisen sauce (optional)
½ tablespoon lime juice
½ cup of olive oil 2 cloves garlic
½ cup fresh cilantro 1 tablespoon butter
½ cup fresh parsley 1 tablespoon soy sauce
¼ cup fresh oregano ½ tablespoon cornstarch
½ tablespoon balsamic vinegar
