It is a branch of Physics that deals about the motion of bodies regard less of their
cause.
Rest;
If a body does not keep on changing his position and respect to his surrounding
Motion;
If a body keep on changing his position with respect to its surrounding then the
body is said to be in motion
Types of Motion;
Linear translator motion;
If a body in a straight line, the body is said to have linear motion
If a body is displace in such a manner that all the particle lying on a body are being
displaced equally in the same direction the body is said to have translator motion
Circulatory motion;
The motion of a body around a circular tract is called circular motion or rotatory
motion
Vibratory Motion;
it is to and formation of a body about its mean position.
Basic description of Physical quantities;
Distance;
Simply measurement of length. Its S.I unit is Meter. It is a scaler quantity.
Displacement;
It is the least distance between two points, it is always in a straight line , its S.I
unit is meter, It is a Vector Quantity
Speed Velocity
Ms-1 Ms-1
Acceleration;
It is defined as the rate of change of velocity. Its velocity S.I unit is ms-2. It is a
vector quantity.
Formula;
A= delta V/ T
A= V-U/T
Average Speed;
Uniform Velocity;
If a body covers equal displacement in equal interval of time, the body is said to
be have uniform velocity
Notes;
Displacement Velocity
Gradient of this graph give velocity Gradient of this graph gives
acceleration.
When we are plotting graph between two physical quantities so there will one
independent quantity and one dependent.
If we will find area under speed time graph we will get distance
Terminal Velocity;
When the body moves under the action of gravity, its velocity increases at a
decreasing rate due to up thrust of air and time will come when the weight of the
body is balance by the up thrust of air and the body starts falling with uniform
velocity which is called terminal Velocity.
If a body drops from a short heighted then it will fall from a uniform acceleration
10ms-1
If a body fall from high altitude then its inetial acceleration will be 10ms-1 its
inetial acceleration will be 10ms-1, it velocity will be increasing at a decreasing
rate
