Wal-Mart Stores, Inc. is the largest corporate cash contributor in
the U.S. – charitable giving exceeded $200 million last year. That’s
more than $18,000 an hour, or $5 per second.
More than 90 percent of Wal-Mart’s charitable contributions are
directed at the local level, where Wal-Mart customers and
associates live and work. The Wal-Mart & SAM’S CLUB
Foundation supports approximately 100,000 organizations in the
U.S.
