I Activity
Class, in this session I attached some
hidden jigsaw under your chairs.
Now I want you to seek or look those
jigsaw and fixed the jigsaw puzzle
according to its correct position.
Remember not all students has the
hidden jigsaw under your desk. Those
students has this puzzle must go in front
to arrange the jigsaw puzzle.
I’ll be giving you 5 minutes for this
activity.

Then what are their differences? The second line has
subordinate clause

How about the first line?

Exactly! There is no subordinate clause

Abstraction

Clause is a group of words with at least


a subject and a verb.

Clauses can be Independent or


dependent.
An independent or main clause can
stand by itself.

A dependent or subordinate clause also


has a subject and a verb but it cannot
stand by itself because it starts with
subordinate words.

conjunctions that include in dependent
clause

be having a task to make five sentences that
includes independent and dependent clause
about family for group 1, group 2 about your
best friend, group 3 about your teacher and
group 4 about your classmates.
You’re going to underline ones for Independent
and twice for dependent.
