French Revolution Comic Strip Project


Task: Create an illustrated guide to the French Revolution using the events leading up to the revolution and the events of the revolution
Requirements:
 Comic must have a title
 Comic will have a minimum of 6 boxes (different events in each box)
 Each box must have “narration” and an illustration that is historically accurate
o The narration for each box should tell the basic ideas and key details of the story
o Your illustrations should have speech and thought bubbles to further explain the story and should fill the square (leave little “white space”)
 Comic must tell the story of the development of the French Revolution – it doesn’t need to be funny.
 Comic must be colorful – if you choose to create a digital comic, you must pay to print in color
 Comic must be created by hand (neatness counts!) or via computer using www.storyboardthat.com, or another comic creator (detail counts!)
 Originality – Do not include the same events and have the same picture ideas as those around you. You will lose points!
