I-INTRODUCTION
Everyday, we wear different kinds of clothes to protect ourselves from heat, cold, rain
and other elements of nature. We must wear clothes that suit the occasion and weather. In doing
so, it allows us to move freely and comfortable. Right clothes make us look nice more so fits our
personality and our activities.
II-DISCUSSION
CLOTHES for DIFFERENT ACTIVITIES
 SCHOOL CLOTHES - School clothes are for school wear. Blouse and skirt are for
girls. Polo or t-shirt and long or short pants are for boys. School clothes should be simple,
durable, non-fading, and easy to put on and take off. These clothes should be inexpensive
and comfortable.
 CHURCH CLOTHES - Church clothes are usually simple and comfortable and have
few trimmings or ornamental the colors should not be too loud..
 CLOTHES FOR WARM WEATHER - Clothes for warm weather are those suitable
for warm days. Sando, loose t-shirts and garterized shorts are examples of these.
 CLOTHES FOR COLD WEATHER - Clothes for cold weather are those used when it
is cold or rainy. Examples of this kind of clothes are sweaters, knit shirts and cardigans.
 CASUAL CLOTHES - General wear or casual wear are usually those worn for
shopping and travelling. They are simple, comfortable, practical and durable. They are
made up of materials that are strong, sometimes stretchable, and do not wrinkle easily.
They are simple in color and design.
 SPORTS CLOTHES - Suitable for athletic events such as ball games,tennis
tournaments, and swimming meets, bathing suits are for girls and swimming trunks are
for boys, jogging pants and cotton shorts are also usually worn at sports events.
 SLEEPING CLOTHES - Are worn during bedtime or rest periods. These clothes include
pajamas, nightgowns, loose t-shirts and shorts. They should be loose and easy to put on,
take off, wash and dry.
 COSTUME CLOTHES - Are worn to represent a particular person, country or group in
a party or an event that has a theme. Costumes are symbolic. They depend on the color
and style of the person, country or group being represented. Sometimes they can be
expensive.
  CLOTHES FOR SPECIAL OCCASION - Are worn during special events, fiestas,
parades, Christmas parties, and other occasions that call for attractive clothes. These
clothes are colorful and are sometimes trimmed with lace and embroidery. They are often
expensive.
 FOOTWEAR - Footwear comes in different styles ,sizes and colors. We use it to protect
our feet. Your shoes, slippers, sandals, boots, slip-on and sock should be neatly kept and
washed if needed. It can be made up of leather, synthetic materials, plastic, wood or
cloth.
 UNDERGARMENTS - Undergarment or underwear are important because they protect
the sensitive parts of our body. Panties, briefs, half-slip, sandos or chemise are the
examples of this. They are usually made up of cotton. Avoid using undergarments that
are tight fitting. Make sure you are comfortable wearing them.
CHOOSING THE RIGHT CLOTHES
 Wear clothes that fit your personality.
 Choose clothes that suit the occasion.
 Choose clothes that suit the weather.
 Clothes should suit your age.
CLOTHING CARE TIPS
 Make it a habit to prepare the clothes that you will wear.
 Put on and take off your clothes correctly.
 Make it a habit to arrange your clothes properly.
 Make it a habit to check your clothes before washing them.
 Protect your clothes from dust, insects, and rats.
III-SUMMARY
CLOTING is the basic human needs. It is important to wear clothes that are freshly
laundered and good smelling. Keeping our clothes clean is as important as wearing the right
clothes at the right occasion. It makes us comfortable and freely to move when we choose the
right clothes that are appropriate in our activities or occassions.
