    Assignment 1

    Problem Statement: (8085 Microprocessor)


    1) One memory block has 8 KB EPROM and 2KB RAM. The EPROM must start at location 0000H
    and be immediately followed by RAM. Design the required memory Map using 3 to 8 Decoder.

    2) Design address map for the following specification:


    One 8 KB EPROM, Next-6 No. of 8KB RAM

    3) Draw and explain a system in which Switch (S7 to S0) is connected to address F8H and a 7-
    segment display is connected to address F9H. Take necessary I/P data to F8H to display 0/2/9 at
    F9H.(For simultaneous operation use 3 to 8 decoder.)

    4) Disassemble the content of the location 8100H into two 4 bit sections (nibbles) and store them in
    locations 8101H and 8102H respectively.

    5) Find the 1’s complement and 2’s complement of a 16 bit number.
