LESSON PLAN

TOPIC:

Literature Circle

The class will start with an opening prayer followed by the energizer. After the energizer, the
teacher will let the students have a recap for the previous discussion.

I. OBJECTIVES:

At the end of the discussion, the students are expected to:

a.) participate the game which give them ideas about the topic
b.) know the definition of Literature Circle
c.) know the different Literature Circles and its roles; and
d.) participate the activity that contains application of the roles of the different Literature
Circles.

II. SUBJECT: ENGL 217 (Children and Adolescent Literature)

III. MATERIALS:

 Laptop
 TV/DLP
 Mobile phones
 Mobile data

IV. PROCEDURE:

 The teacher will project the 4 pics 1 word game on the screen that contains
pictures and the students will guess the hidden words which is related to the topic.
 The GUESSING GAME! The teacher will show 2 pictures for each Literature
Circles and the students will still guess the words hidden in those pictures.

A. Discussion

 First, the teacher will ask her students their ideas about the definition of
Literature Circle and the roles of different Literature Circles.
 After the sharing, the teacher will proceed to her formal discussion about the
topic.
 Let the students search examples of stories that already contain the application
of the roles of Literature Circle.
B. Activity

 The class will form a group that consists 4 members.


 Each member should have an assigned role of Literature Circle.
 Project a story on the screen.
 The students should identify their roles in accordance of the story that is being
projected on the screen. They are given 10 minutes to brainstorm and fill in
their assigned roles.
 After the time given, each of the group will be given 3-5 minutes to explain
their answers in a creative way.
 A group who can perform their tasks well will be exempted for the quiz next
meeting.

Creativity 10%
Teamwork 5%
TOTAL 30%

C. Dismissal

 The teacher will select a student to lead the closing prayer.


 The class will be dismissed on time.
