Music Lesson Plan

Title: Head and Shoulders, Knees and Toes Grade


Level: Kindergarten
Source: YouTube

Materials needed: Computer, Internet, Youtube

Procedure:

A. Who knows all of the parts of our body?


B. Who can show me their head?
C. Who can show me their knees?

1. Identify head, shoulder, knees, and toes.


2. Identify eyes, ears, mouth, and nose.
3. Ask students if they have any questions about the different body parts.
4. Ask students to stand up and practice pointing leading to all of the
body parts as you lead by showing them the example.
a. Become aware of who is able to follow along and who needs a
little scaffolding

Closure: Ask students what they learned from our lesson and make
connections.
a. Play Simon says using the body parts we have just learned but not in
order.
Educational Objective: By the end of this lesson, students will have understood the
importance of listening and following the directions indicated in the song.
