Self Efficiency Role Model

Who am I?

My name is Amna Siddiqui and presently I am working in a software house Next


Bridge Pvt Limited since last a year. I have also worked in PTCL for 2 years. I have
been engaged in the services sector. I have sufficient work experience a long with
education. I have done B-Com and now I am a student of MBA-Executive in Pak
Aims college.

My role model

My role model is Mr. Hammad Akbar. He is serving Next Bridge Pvt Ltd. more than
10 years. He has an immense experience in services sector. He has served different
departments and currently he is the Head Of Department of the Procurement.

Evaluation of Proficiency

As person is not perfect in this world and lack some competences. These are GOD
gifted but can be refined through training and on job experiences.

I have assessed my expertise and compared it with my role model, although he has a
massive experience than me but I strive to conquer so as to set an example like my
role model is.

According to the 5 main skills provided in the form that contain different dimensions
of expertise where I have ranked my self honestly to analyze where I am falling as a
professional.

1. Basic Business Function


The basic business function is the first skill set which contain different dimensions of
department sales, operations, accounts, finance, and human resource.

I need development in Sales and Human Resource as I have not come across such
expertise due to lack of interaction. The reason of being selections of need
development is that I need training and short courses have more grips on these skills,
although my role model has very huge experience but by working on these skills and
by joining some training institutes I can perform better in future.

In the area of Finance and Accounts I need refinement as I am a bit familiar with it
but require core financing and accounting experience. I can perform far more better
after getting practical work experience in finance and accounts departments which can
help me also to practice my financial knowledge taken in MBA program.

2. Industry Specific Knowledge

Industrial specific knowledge is one of the very important skills set for a professional.
This skill set contain all competencies related to industries knowledge, expertise,
market knowledge, ability to diagnose and ability to see the opportunities in the
industrial market.

I need development in all above mentioned aspects because I don’t have enough
knowledge about industry as compare to my role model.

3. Resource Competencies
I need development in business information and business financing, as I don’t have
any experience as entrepreneurial as compare to my role model to gather finance and
other resources, as far as supporting people is concerned I need refinements in It and
it could be only possible when I will get training and some practical example.
