Course Title: Topological Structures
Credit Units: 3 units (3 hours lecture)
Prerequisite: Junior Standing

Objectives: At the end of the course, the student will be able to:
1. Explain the importance of topology as a field of mathematics;
2. Define, give examples of, prove theorems and solve problems involving topological spaces,
continuous functions, connected and compact spaces; and
3. Enumerate, give examples, and solve problems involving countability axioms, separation
axioms, metric spaces and metrizability.

Final Exam 30%
