CONCLUSION AND RECOMMENDATION

Conclusion

Based on the findings of the study, researchers

conclude that the International students are moderately

satisfied with the Decoration and furniture, Quality of

Food, Space and Comfort, and Cleanliness of the restaurants

in Baguio City. As for the Decoration and furniture, the

respondents are moderately satisfied since according to the

observation of the researchers the international students

admire decorations because it gives good ambiance and also

for good photography which also requires a good lighting.

The respondents are moderately satisfied with quality of

food especially for taste and nutritional value since

according to the observation of the researchers they are not

used to the taste of the food especially Filipino cuisines

that is being offered in the restaurants in Baguio, the

taste and appearance differs from the food they usually eat

in their own country .The respondents are also moderately

satisfied with the space and comfort of the restaurants in

Baguio since according to the observation of the

researchers, they are bothered with the background noises

that greatly affect their dining experience also, the lack

of signage(slippery floor etc.) for the safety of all

guests.

Therefore, the researchers conclude that the Restaurants in

Baguio City didn’t exceed the expectation of the International

students with this, there are factors that greatly affect their

dining experience such as the problems they encounter during

their dining experience which includes the speed of service,

since according to the respondents it takes 10-30 minutes to

wait for the orders. Also Poor sanitation, Utensils and

furniture are not properly clean. Some of the staffs are very

inefficient/unproductive, they are not that approachable.

Recommendation

Based on the findings and conclusions presented, the

following recommendations are presented:

1. Restaurants in Baguio city must soften the noise level with

textured wall surfaces or coverings. Also, adding some area

rugs and table cloths can help reduce the noise to make

guests comfortable while dining.

2. Restaurants in Baguio city must always have safety signage

(slippery floor) to prevent injury and ensure staffs and

visitors are well aware of the possible dangers and hazards

ahead in certain situations and environments.

3. Restaurants in Baguio city must have efficient operation

especially when it comes to the speed of their service.

They must train their employees to work with a sense of

urgency and they must always have a station for mise en

place to finish work quickly.

4. Restaurants in Baguio city must maintain a clean work

environment to prevent foodborne illnesses of the guests,

by training their staffs about proper and good sanitation.

5. Restaurants in Baguio city must also train their staffs to

be approachable and attentive to the customers since they

are the one interacting with the guests, they must be

professional.
