whole supply chain is get divied in to the MTO &MTS production type , in case of MTS we can produce product as stock and we want the stock for

Purchare Info Record, and it is really a part of MM(materials management). This PIR is master data which is used to default values into a purchase

sorry to say, but i'm actually confused whether it is purchase info record or planned independent requirement..

i'm running a copy of std. program RM60SIMU to copy PIR versions with added select-options. I'm unable to make the selection on the added elds.

can you plz.help me ragarding this..

Planned Independant requirement is the requirement that does not depend on the customer requirement.The combination of PIR and customer requirement makes up the
planning strategy.say we have a PIR of 10 pcs a sales order of 20 pcs then
in make to stock situation the requirement qnty will be 10,in make to order it will be 20.

PIR is basically the requirement that is independant of the sales order/customer requirement.

See transaction MD61.
