A.Do beauty pageants objectify women?

In my opinion, beauty pageants do not objectify women, rather it empowers women. Ms.
Universe is one of the most viewed and anticipated event of the year. Winning the title of Ms.
Universe is not just about the beauty of the contestant, the contestants are not just seen as
objects of beauty. Contestants are required to also be full of wisdom and give insights on the
current problems that the world is facing. That is because the winner carries a lot of
responsibility and is not just for show. Beauty pageants are made to recognize and showcase
the talents of women and to empower women and change the prejudice that is given to women
by society.

B. Are you in favor of same-sex marriage?

Yes, I am in favor of same-sex marriage because people deserve to be happy no matter who
they are as long as they are not putting anyone in harm. Same-sex marriage can also be
advantageous as it provides government benefits like health care and the such. Another
important benefit it provides is the joint property rights and if ever that same-sex couples decide
to have a child and a problem arises, the child is less likely to be adopted to another family due
to both parents having custody of the child.
