Give details of the financial aspects of the relationship. (Describe briefly in 2000
characters)
As I was still a student in the second last year of my MBBS course when I got married in March 2016, I had no source of
income, therefore, I relied on my husband for all my financial needs including my daily travel expenses, food, shopping
and academic expenses like textbooks. I live in a joint family system with my parents in law, brothers in law and their
families so expenses like utility bills and groceries are all taken care of by the head of the family. In May 2018, I joined
Fatima Memorial Hospital as a House Officer and started earning. Since then, I share the financial burden with my
husband in a way that I independently take care of my travel expenses including fuel, food expenses like snacks and
lunch at work as well as dining out and finally, leisure expenses like shopping and gifts. The starting salary of a doctor is
very low, hence, I am unable to equally share financial responsibilities with my husband. Additionally, my husband is
financially stable enough that he does not expect or want me to share our financial burden more than I am able to.
.

Give details of the nature of the household.(Describe briefly in 2000 characters)

Before leaving for work in the morning, I make breakfast for my husband and I, which we have together. I usually come
back from work in the afternoon and my husband comes later in the evening. Meanwhile, we have household help who
take care of cooking, cleaning and laundry. Dinner is the only meal in the day which all the family members share
together and I often help out by setting the table and clearing up afterwards. Groceries are taken care of by my mother in
law and sometimes I accompany her. Day to day living expenses and utility bills are covered by my father in law and
husband who run the family business together.
• Documents to show that you and your partner share responsibilities in your
household,
such as: o your living arrangements

o a statement about the way housework is distributed

o joint ownership or joint rental of the house in which

you live o joint utilities accounts (electricity, gas,

We had a grand wedding consisting of four events Nikkah, Mehndi, Baraat

relatives came especially from the US just to attend my wedding including
my paternal aunt and cousins. After the wedding, we were invited to
numerous dinners hosted by our many relatives and friends. We also
attended the Walima ceremony of our family friend’s son the day
