13. Write a summary of your learning and what is the
impact of the subject to your life.

In this subject, I've learned a lot of things. Specially the importance of

Politics and Governance in our daily lives, the aim of the study of politics, of why
politics is called science, of what is the purpose of studying this subject, of what is
the origin of government and what are its kinds. I've also learned of what
citizenship is and what are its kinds. Studying in this subject reminds us that
politics in its real sense, is a "power game", which means the struggle for power
individually or collectively. Whereby he who is in power may compel another to
comply with what he wanted him to. Studying Politics and Governance is very
important, for it helped us to know the fact and for us not to be in ignorant on the
matter pertaining to politics and governance. Studying also in this subject gives
us knowledge about the aim of this study. That it regulate the struggle for power
among man in order to preserve peace and order in every society. Politics is
called science, because it is the study of man and his struggle for power whether
alone or with others. And through politics, the nations fall and rise. It is not a
perfect science because it is base on the experiences of the people, it comes from
trial and error. The reason why we study this subject is to understand the
complexities of politics.
Studying Politics and Governance will help us understand that we, us
humans are "social animal". Hence, in order for us to live, we must be with
people who by their instinct of survival were a "power grabber". Which means
that we are a power grabber. And in this subject, we learned that the government
as an institution, was invented primarily to regulate the quest for power either
alone or with others, and to preserve peace and order, and to attain progress and
development. Its function is to compel the citizens concerned to follow and
observe the formula under pai of penalty should they violate the same. And also,
as a citizen, who legally belongs to this country, we have the rights and
protection.
This subject has a great impact in my life. Because through this subject,
I've know my rights of being a citizen in this country, and also knew that the
government has made laws for us, in order to protect our rights.
