Green Village Fire Dept. Kicks Off Fire Prevention Week with Community BBQ

Green Village, NJ – The Green Village Volunteer Fire Department is opening their doors to
the public on Oct. 6 as a part of their annual Fire Prevention Week Open House. The public
is invited to the fire house located at 529 Green Village Rd to learn about fire prevention as
well as meet the members of the Green Village Volunteer Fire Department.
The Open House will take place from 1 p.m. to 3 p.m. and hamburgers, hot dogs and
ice cream will be provided by the fire department free of charge. Community members will
have the opportunity to learn from firefighters, explore the equipment, spray the fire hose
and learn more about what the firefighters do.
The fire department’s next community event is a Visit from Santa on Dec. 8 at 6 p.m.,
where community members will have the opportunity to get a picture with Santa and snack
on holiday cookies provided by the Green Village Fire Department Auxiliary.
The Green Village Fire Department protects part of Chatham Township and Harding
Township.
