EXECUTIVE SUMMARY

1.1 BACKGROUND OF THE STUDY

Internet cafés and connections are easily accessed in industrialized areas but not so in some

areas.

“Vanawor Pisonet & Piso-Fi Café” was utterly inspired by the booming industry of

communications technology frequented by anybody who wants and needs to connect through the

World Wide Web. The fascination and practicality which the internet service providers offer to

people made the industry more appealing and enticing. Thus, internet has become an integral part

of anyone who does not want to be left behind with the technological trend and whatever there is

to become updated.

The proponents had an ocular inspection as well as informal interviews of their target

market within the vicinity of academic institutions, public and private offices, and other

establishments in Pasnacan, Poblacion, Banaue, Ifugao as their target location.

After the thorough assessment, it was deliberately decided that the proposed project be

called “Vanawor Pisonet & Piso-Fi Café” with a tagline “Stay connected with a COIN” in order

to provide internet access to people for an affordable price in Pasnacan, Banaue.

1.3 PROPOSED NAME OF THE BUSINESS

This business shall be named VANAWOR (va-NA-wor) Pisonet & Piso-fi Café because

initially, it is a café located in Vanawor itself–which is a local term in Banaue, Ifugao which

translates to the word Banaue.

1.4 TYPE OF BUSINESS ORGANIZATION

The form of the proposed business will be sole proprietorship for the following reasons:

 Sole proprietor makes all the profit and owns all the assets.

 Legal structure can easily be changed in a sole proprietorship.

 Sole proprietor enjoys freedom, ease to establish the business and owns

and reports all earnings on his individual cash return.

  Sole proprietorship enjoys maximum privacy, full authority and

manegerial control on his or her business.

 Sole proprietorship can control business cost at individual level and at his

decision. Start-up costs are low.

 No formalities are required such as board meeting or forming by laws.

1.5 NATURE OF BUSINESS

The proposed business will be pisonet and piso-café that will be using a slot machine-like

computers, boxed in an enclosed-type cubicle and runs Windows. It is powered by a coin

selector/acceptor component for it to operate. Furthemore, this business shall serve as an arcade

style computer that will be used for internet and gaming services for a small amount of money.

1.6 LOCATION OF THE BUSINESS

This will be located at PASNACAN, POBLACION, BANAUE IFUGAO which is within

the vicinity of the following establishments: Banaue Central School, Immaculate Conception

School, Government and Private Offices, and Business Establishments.

1.7 LOGO

The central icon of the logo is the Philippine one-peso coin where the world map is embedded

which fortifies the project tagline ‘Stay connected with a COIN’. The prominent broken lines that

surround the coin and people around the world basically signifies the connection anyone can access

through the internet.

The graphical symbols of a thumb up, heart, speech balloons, and comment section define the

nature of language used in internet.

The colours blue and green were chosen to represent digital technology.
