AOU E-library - LRC 2012

 Introduction

The AOU E-library portal has unlimited access to some electronic

databases such as:
 EBSCO
 IEEE
 Emerald
 Gale
 EduSearch
And many other resources where some of them are for a short trial
period.

 AOU makes sure that the above resources are
constantly updated in order to cope with the students
needs.

The AOU E-library portal can be accessed through your

Moodle account.

 Log in Instructions
When you log in to your Moodle account, you will find a
shortcut for the E-library as shown below:

 Once you are logged-in, you will be redirected automatically to
the Resources tab where you can simply click on the resource
you are interested in.

 Example:
How to search using the EBSCO database

EBSCO host databases and discovery technologies are the

most-used, premium online information resources for tens of
thousands of institutions worldwide, representing millions of
end-users.

Below are the steps to follow after logging in:

 Step 1

Click on “Enter”

Choose “EBSCO host web”

 Step 3

By default, we search using “Visual search”.

Just right down your keyword and hit “Enter”.

 Step 4

However, some PCs do not support Flash player, therefore it is

recommended to use the
“Basic Search” or “Advanced Search” instead

 Example:
How to search using the IEEE database

The IEEE Computer Society Digital Library (CSDL) provides

online access to 27 society magazines and transactions and
more than 4,100 conference publications.

IEEE is the world's leading professional association for the

advancement of technology.

Below are the steps to follow after logging in:
