Agricultural plant drone simple installation

1. For a beginner, please ask the person who have experience of


assembly and operation of agricultural drone.
2. For drone’s battery, please do not overcharge neither over
discharge !

Install ESC(only for the ESC XRotor PRO 80A)


In order to adapt to different models, the ESC has a longer line. We need to cut the
ESC output silicone cable to the length of the rack (approx. 1500px). The motor
outlet length is 125px, no need to cut, then Weld the EST power supply end to the
XT90 male end, and control the outlet end to weld the 4.0mm banana head female
head. The motor outlet end is welded with the 4.0mm banana head male head and
put on the 5mm heat shrinkable tube to blow.
After the motor ESC is processed, it can be loaded into the fuselage. The rack uses the quick
release side panel. When installing the ESC, unscrew the four screws on the side, remove the side
panel, and then adjust the ESC from the fuselage. Insert the side, then insert the side panel
hollow card slot into the ESC hot plate and reinstall it. The XT90 of the ESC power supply end is
inserted into the female end of the center distribution board, and the control end extends
through the arm to the motor base. The bottom is connected to the motor.

Remove the side panels and put in the ESC


The ESC heat sink is embedded in the side plate slot to reinstall the fuselage

Refer to the above sequence to install the six motors and ESCs in sequence. The internal wiring is
as follows.

Install pump
The sprinkler system installation is divided into two parts, one is the control part, the
other is the spray part, and the control part uses a step-down type ESC, as shown
below.

Solder the step-down ESC output port to an XT60 female adapter plate and the step-down ESC
input to an XT60 male connector as shown below.

The ESC three-terminal line is processed.


The adapter plate of the ESC output end is fixed to the side hole of the fuselage panel through a
nylon column.

After fixing, the ESC control output port can be exposed to the outside of the panel, and the
above control part is installed.
Then install the spray parts of the water pump, water pipe and nozzle. Refer to the following
figure to install the pump to the bottom of the water tank.

Cut the pipe to the appropriate length for easy installation during installation
Extend the outlet end of the pump and weld an XT60 male to the pump controller output
connector at the bottom of the panel

A one-two-piece adapter is placed on the top of the tripod to divide the water pipe into two
directions.
Install Flight controller
Flight Control We use DJI A3-AG and Datalink-3 remote control as installation
reference. Detailed wiring and instructions for use refer to the official instructions of
Dji. The following only provides installation layout reference.

After installation, it is recommended to put hot melt adhesive on the signal cable plug to prevent
loosening.

Power commissioning
After installing the flight control, carefully check whether each line connection is correct,
especially pay attention to whether the positive and negative poles are connected in reverse,
whether the signal line and the negative pole are connected in reverse, and whether the flight
control sockets are the corresponding modules. After the check is correct, the power can be
debugged.
Debugging is divided into several points
1. The main power supply has two sets of plugs on the left and right sides. When power is on,
connect the right negative pole to the right positive pole first, then connect the left negative pole
and the left positive pole.
2. Check whether there is any abnormality at the moment of power-on, whether the indicator of
each module is normal, whether there is abnormal heating of the module, and confirm that each
module works normally before entering the next step.
3. Remote control and flight control settings, refer to the use of the flight control and remote
control manual settings, map the remote control channel, check the forward and reverse, set the
flight control basic parameters
4. Calibrate the ESC. For normal ESC, be sure to perform the stroke calibration before flight. For
the ECC and some ESCs that cannot be calibrated for a fixed stroke, you can skip this step.
5. Check and adjust the motor forward and reverse. If the flight control supports the software
test motor, it will pass the software test. Common flight control such as Dajiang, extension attack,
etc., if not supported, can be viewed by unlocking, such as flying flight control, check if It is found
that the motor is not turning correctly. It can be reversed by arbitrarily adjusting the two motor
plugs.
6. After the commissioning is completed, the nozzle, bottom cover and blade can be installed in
order. Correct the motor level with a level or horizontal bubble
The last small detail is also very important. Put a venting hole in the lid of the medicine box to
prevent the medicine box from collapsing after the pumping water becomes smaller due to the
pressure inside the medicine box.

Outside flying test


1. The first thing to test the new machine is to calibrate the magnetic compass.
2, the first test flight recommended no-load use attitude mode take off
3, GPS mode to wait for the search star to complete before taking off
4. Observe whether the take-off is stable, whether there is a side deviation or other abnormality,
and if there is an abnormal situation, it is necessary to immediately drop the inspection.
5, the use of large paddles in the low speed state after unlocking, the arm will have a jitter
phenomenon, which is a normal phenomenon, will be eliminated after the speed is increased
6. Observe whether the aircraft hover is stable after take-off, and use the light bar to observe
whether the flight direction and the remote control are consistent.
7. If there is jitter or shaking, it will fall and adjust the sensitivity. The plant protection machine
has large inertia. It is recommended not to set too sensitive touch.
8. After the empty machine is commissioned, add water to test flight. Do not add water to the
test directly. Add 3L, 5L, 7L, and 10L step by step to observe whether the aircraft is abnormal
after the load increases.
9. After adding water, turn on the water pump on the ground to observe whether it can be
discharged normally. Whether the atomization of the pressure nozzle is normal. If the water
pump is in the turn but the water is not discharged, the air in the pump head is not discharged,
and the pump head is discharged. Unplug the water pipe, turn on the water pump, discharge the
air, etc., and then plug the water pipe.
Other functions of the flight control can be continued under the premise of stable flight.
