Rationale:
The early days of technology-aided learning saw learners confined to a computer and
accessing learning at a specific location. Recent developments in internet and wireless
technologies have led to the emergence of devices that allow us to access information anywhere
and anytime. Most of these devices are interconnected, giving us the context we need and
creating a “smart” universe for us. Mobile devices are now being used for learning and, true to
their character, are providing the much needed content as well.
Mobile learning provides the users with access to learning regardless of time and location.
Networked mobile devices allow learners to learn collaboratively in groups. As eLearning
developers, our main focus has to be on the ways that learners can be best engaged. Game-
based mobile learning has proved to be an excellent way to do this. A game-based mobile
learning system for both indoor and outdoor learning in school could enhance the self-directed
learning for students. By using game-based learning, students will learn more in depth
information and get more knowledge by their own interests.
Conceptual Framework
The conceptual model that will be use in the study is the INPUT, PROCESS, and OUTPUT.

General Purpose:
To develop a game-based activity using android platform for Empowerment Technologies
core subject.
Specific Objectives:
1. Design an application with the following features:
a. Accessible and portable through android devices
b. Interactive game-based activity
c. User friendly
2. Create the system using:
a. C# Programming Language
b. Unity Game Engine
c. SQLite Database Administrator
d. Monodevelop Editor
e. Adobe Photoshop
f. HTMML,JAVA and XML
3. Test and improve the system based on the designed characteristics
4. Determine the level of acceptability of the developed gamed activity for Empowerment
Technologies
