The Implication of Animal Farm to Me as a Person

After I read ‘Animal Farm’ I could reflected myself with Clover. Clover was a loyal,
strong, caring horse who like to give comfort to the other animals, and could sense hypocrisy
but she was not good with words. Same with me, I like to caring people around me, and I
have so many thought in my mind, but because of my shy personality, I can’t express it with
words.

The Comparison of the Leadership of Indonesia’s Second President and the Leadership
of Animal Farm

In the early years of New Order, Indonesia’s second president, Seoharto focused
mainly on the development of the country. While on the next period, he was able to
concentrate on the growth of the economy by indirectly doing business in every sector.

Indonesia’s second gained the president position in 1966 during the instable situation
when the communist are accused as the main cause of the trouble. He replaced Soekarno, the
first President of Indonesia. The process of replacement is still be a controversy until now.
Similarly to Napoleon, Seoharto became the chief leader that went through almost the same
process in getting that top position.

The first cabinet composed in early new order still represented the spirit of reform.
While in the second cabinet which started since the fifth period, there occurred the
relationship between businessmen and the governmental people. In its development, people
in later cabinet was composed of those who were in the government whom were also the
businessmen. This is also happened in ‘Animal Farm’ when the pigs which represented the
welfare group that fully enjoyed the facilitate.

In relation to Napoleon’s government, there was a similarity between Napoleon and Seoharto
in terms of using the military force as the useful component to protect the leader’s position as
well as existence. Napoleon in ‘Animal Farm’ used the dogs as the armed guards to
frightened the other animals especially to those who wanted to rebel.
