Gela: A leader is a person who stands up for the causes of his / her community. Sincere, Just,
and Brave in both mind and heart.
Cath: Today, we, the student body, bear as witnesses to this moment, wherein we get to know
the people who took a step out of their personal walls and challenged themselves to stand in
front of you as leaders.
Gela: Ladies and gentlemen, open your eyes with a vision of the truth,
Cath: Listen with sensitivity to your surroundings,
Gela: Speak objectively as you ask these brave and bold students the questions ringing your
curious minds.
Cath: Lastly, place your careful judgement as you analyze which causes do you wish them to
address.
Both: This is-- Ductus Exemplo: The Quest for the Pure, Just and Brave.
Gela: If we have not greeted you yet, then allow us to do so. Good Afternoon, dear ICTzens, I
am Angela Manaloto, your current SSG Grade 10 Representative.
Cath: And Cathlene Nunag, SSG Grade 7 Representative. We know you are ecstatic to hear
our candidates defend their stands on the arguments. Of course, to further help us decide
wisely throughout the whole event and especially on who to cast our votes, we must first seek
the guidance of our God to be led by Jhourgiena Molines.

(insert Baby G’s prayer here)

Cath: Thank you Jhourgiena. May we call on Sir Lawrence Agapito to give his visionary
insights, especially on these day of choosing our respectful leaders who will be working
alongside the school in these visions.
(sir lawrence)

Gela: Thank you Sir Lawrence for the words of encouragement. I guess everyone’s starting to
get thrilled in hearing our questions being answered but before that, may we call on the
respective party list for their final introduction!
Cath:

AKLAS PARTY LIST.
(AKLAS on stage)
Cath: Thank you Aklas Party.
Gela:

Sindie is the home of the sexi people. Home of the broken and the healed, the dreamers and
the realists. We wish to promote indie culture, self care and mental health awareness. We, from
the sindie family, wish to make a home for everyone. SINDIE PARTY LIST.

Gela: Thank you Sindie party.

Mechanics
The debate is divided into three segments:
• Sincerus (TRUE, Honest, pure) - In this round, only the Vice Presidents should defend their
sides regarding their beliefs when it comes to social issues. Questions will be provided by the
SSG Officers an hour before the said debate.
• Aecus (fair, even, JUST) - The aecus round determines the Presidents’ ability to decide
judiciously when it comes to questions of morality and how they will manage the situations.
• Cor Fortium (Brave Heart) - Being fearless in facing personal and social challenges is one of
the qualities of being an efficient leader. Cor Fortium tests how sturdy and resilient the aspirants
are. They will be given a minute to answer the question they picked from the bowl, coming from
the student body.
These are the following Guidelines and criteria in scoring:

· The candidates should show in his/her answer the relevance to the question given
to them.
· The candidate should answer with conviction and able to defend his/her point
regarding the said topic.
· Each student will be given a total amount of 60 seconds to answer the first question
or for the defending and 45 seconds for the follow up questions. Inability to answer
within the given frame or any additional time asked will be a point deduction for the said
candidate.
· Most importantly, the students should reflect the qualities of being a student leader
in answering the queries with respect and confidence.
The decision of the panelists is final and should be respected.
