1. Introduction
This guide was elaborated to export videos from different editors to be imported and broadcasted on
Hardata.TV.
Within this guide you will find the location of the previously set up files to be utilized on Hardata.TV.
These presets allow the user to export videos using a format 100%compatible with the Hardata.TV
standards.
2. Formats
. SD - PAL
. SD - NTSC Drop Frame
. HD - 720p 50 Hz
. HD - 720p 60 Hz
At the end of this document you will find an annex with details established for each editor.
3.1.1) Open the dialog box “export settings” from the file menu -> export -> media. As shown on the
following image.
3.1.2) Select the correspondent file to the standard output on your TV station.
3.1.3) Once you chose the file, you must define the name of the setting on your edition Workstation:
3.2.2) Select File > Export > Media. Premiere Pro will open the Export dialog box.
3.2.3) Select the h.264 file format for the exported file
3.2.4) Select the correspondent pre-established setting for the format you will use on Hardata TV: PAL,
NTSC DF, 720p 50hz or 720p 60hz.
3.2.5) Click on Export. The system will immediately processes and exports the selected file. Adobe
Premiere Pro saves the exported file where the origin file is located, also adds the extension for the
specified format at the end of the file name.
4.1) The distributed pre-sets must be imported into the Compressor 3.5. From Final Cut Pro 7 you can
export any video using the Compressor presets.
4.2.2) Do Drag & Drop from the Setting files provided by Hardata to the Compressor presets as shown:
4.3. Use a preset form Apple® - Compressor® from Apple® - Final Cut® Pro 7.
4.3.1) Once we have ready to save our sequence go to file -> send to -> compressor.
4.3.2) When the Compressor Window opens with our video on the Jobs list you just have to add the
preset previously imported by doing drag and drop from the settings list.
4.3.3) Finally you must click on submit on the Compressor Window to export the video.
Move the video you want to transcode by doing drag and drop to the Final Cut Pro “Viewer”
window.
Click on the “Viewer” window and then above the menu bar click on “File -> Export -> Using
QuickTime Conversion…”.
Write the name on the “Save As” box, then on “Format” click on the arrows, select
“AVI” and click on “Options”.
5.5) Formats
Click on video “Settings…” and select (depending if the output format is NTSC or PAL) the different
settings. To set it up follow the steps detailed :
Click “OK” again to confirm the settings, select the destination file for the video and click on “Save”.
Wait until the conversión ends and then import the video to Hardata.TV.
6.1.1) Execute Install_Template.CMD on the file “Edition\Sony – Vegas” from the Hardata.TV DVD.
6.2.1) Select File> Render as. Sony Vegas will open the “Render as” dialog box.
6.2.2) Select the folder where you want to save your file.
6.2.4) Select the correspondent template with the format you will use on Hardata.TV: PAL, NTSC DF,
720p 50hz or 720p 60hz
