What drew you to Link Liberation? (why did you buy the course)
I  was  friends  with  Dan  and  had  seen  first  hand  (more  then  once)  that  he  truly  knew  what  he  was
talking  about.

As far as using Link Liberation, what worked best for you?

Can't  say.

Why??
Didn't  track  it  down  to  the  technique  used.

What was the most difficult about using Link Liberation?

Honestly,  the  videos  were  too  long.

Why??
Personal  preference.  I  think  training  videos  are  best  at  a  length  of  no  more  then  7-‐12  minutes.

What was your business like before using Link Liberation?

A  lot  smaller!  LOL

What positive changes has Link Liberation helped you achieve in your business?
A  bigger  link  profile  and  a  better  understanding  of  how  hubs  authority  work

How has Link Liberation helped you make these positive changes?
Gave  me  the  info  I  had  a  hard  time  finding  elsewhere.

What drew you to Link Liberation? (why did you buy the course)
Wanted  to  learn  link  building  the  right  way  (i.e.,  a  proven,  Google-‐approved,  sustainable  approach).

As far as using Link Liberation, what worked best for you?

To  be  honest,  I've  been  so  swamped  with  software  development  for  CashKeywords  Pro  -‐  not  even
50%  complete  yet  in  terms  of  its  tool  set.    However,  I  do  share  Dan's  approach  and  techniques  with
others  while  highly  recommending  Dan's  products.

What was your business like before using Link Liberation?

Even  though  I  have  not  applied  Link  Liberation's  techniques  to  my  business,  its  principles  have
greatly  impacted  what  I  do.            For  example,  before  LL  I  had  paid  someone  highly  recommended  to
me  who  ended  up  spinning  my  articles  and  spamming  via  SE  Nuke.    Once  I  got  into  LL  I  not  only
ended  my  relationship  with  this  person,  I  began  to  design  new  tools  around  LL's  ideas.

What positive changes has Link Liberation helped you achieve in your business?
A  better  (no-‐hyped)  keyword  toolset  within  Cash  Keywords  Pro.    More  tools  are  to  come,  some  of
which  will  utilize  some  of  LL's  techniques.    For  example,  I'll  probably  build  a  tool  that  sits  on  top  of
Google  Alerts,  similar  to  what  AlertRank.com  did  before  they  shut  down.    This  will  filter  out
spammy  sites  giving  users  better  info  to  work  with.

How has Link Liberation helped you make these positive changes?
Right  now  I'm  working  with  a  few  people  for  setting  up  blogs/sites  the  right  way  (according  to
Dan's  and  Google's  bests  practices).    Dan's  link  collector,  margin  multiplier,  and  content  pump
techniques  will  be  utilized  (with  my  own  flavor  and  supporting  tools)  to  help  these  people.    This
might  end  up  becoming  a  training  program.    As  I  get  closer,  I'd  love  to  share  ideas  with  you,  send
people  your  way  for  further  training,  etc.    My  program  will  focus  a  bit  less  on  tactics  and  more  on
handling  the  technical  setup  and  details  for  users  so  they  can  primarily  focus  on  creating  good
content.

What drew you to Link Liberation? (why did you buy the course)
Your  reputation  as  an  instructor.

As far as using Link Liberation, what worked best for you?

Combination  of  videos  and    weekly  phone  calls.

Why??
I  gained  a  lot  of  insight  and  knowledge  from  the  Q  &  A  phone  calls  in  addition  to  the  videos.

What was the most difficult about using Link Liberation?

Finding  the  time.

What was your business like before using Link Liberation?

Our  business  is  6  years  old  and  had  reached  sticking  point  with  regard  to  traffic  and  sales.

What positive changes has Link Liberation helped you achieve in your business?
Over  time  there  was  an  increase  in  qualified  traffic  which  translated  to  improved  conversion.

How has Link Liberation helped you make these positive changes?
Improved  search  engine  rankings  for  general  keywords  as  well  as  long  tail  search  results.

What drew you to Link Liberation? (why did you buy the course)
The  masterminds  behind  the  course  -‐  Dan  Thies  and  Leslie  Rohde  and  the  quality  of  the  information
and  course

As far as using Link Liberation, what worked best for you?

Structure  and  schedule  of  course  was  great

Why??
I  have  a  busy  schedule  and  knowing  I  can  access  the  information  on  my  own  time  was  great.

What was the most difficult about using Link Liberation?

Too  many  beginners  in  the  class.

Why??
It  seemed  that  a  lot  of  people  needed  the  basics  and  that  made  the  class  somewhat  redundant

What was your business like before using Link Liberation?

It  was  ok  but  Link  Liberation  took  us  to  the  next  level

What positive changes has Link Liberation helped you achieve in your business?
Better  conversion  and  basically  "turned  the  lights  on"  on  link  building  and  SEO

How has Link Liberation helped you make these positive changes?
I  took  away  an  appreciation  for  split  testing  and  more  split  testing  and  conversion  tracking  &
optimization

What drew you to Link Liberation? (why did you buy the course)
StomperNet,  Freddie  Brister

As far as using Link Liberation, what worked best for you?

Learning  about  on-‐site  linking  vs.  off-‐site  linking  and  importance  of  adding  level  2  linking  as  a  part
of  the  strategy.

Why??
Step-‐by-‐step  helps  when  you're  overwhelmed  with  way  too  much  to  do.

What was the most difficult about using Link Liberation?

Time-‐consuming.

Why??
Lots  of  research  +  time  to  develop  level  2  strategy  and  implement  it.

What was your business like before using Link Liberation?

No  links.

What positive changes has Link Liberation helped you achieve in your business?

What drew you to Link Liberation? (why did you buy the course)
I  got  Link  Liberation  as  a  member  of  Stompernet.  I  joined  Stompernet  because  of  the  SEO  info  that
Dan  and  Leslie  provided.

As far as using Link Liberation, what worked best for you?

Understanding  the  importance  of  "layering"  as  many  of  the  tactics  as  you  can...and  being  consistent
with  whatever  your  strategy  and  tactics  are.

Why??
It  makes  your  SEO  campaign  look  natural  to  the  search  engines  and  will  help  you  stay  in  the  top
position  over  time.

What was the most difficult about using Link Liberation?

lots  of  hours  to  get  through

Why??
it's  complicated  and  you  need  to  understand  each  piece  before  moving  on.

What was your business like before using Link Liberation?

I  was  just  launching  it

What positive changes has Link Liberation helped you achieve in your business?
my  first  site,  bestcontractorleads.com  is  #3  on  Google  and  second  page  on  Yahoo  and  Bing  after
three  months.  I  created  an  Internet  marketing  system,  Surefire  Social,  that  really  works  for  getting
clients  more  leads  by  using  a  combination  of  site  structure,  social  media  and  SEO.  We  have
numerous  case  studies...and  growing  revenue.  We  are  profitable  as  of  July.

How has Link Liberation helped you make these positive changes?

What drew you to Link Liberation? (why did you buy the course)
Dan  Thies  grip  on  links.

As far as using Link Liberation, what worked best for you?

Getting  more  external  links  for  authority  to  home  page.

Why??
Well  we  didn't  have  enough  so  we  needed  more.

What was the most difficult about using Link Liberation?

There  wasn't  enough  DO  THIS  type  of  information  in  a  1-‐2-‐3  format.  Don't  get  me  wrong,  it  is  GOOD
but  there  really  needs  to  be  a  recap.  [Dan’s  note:  based  on  feedback  from  Ricky  &  others,  we  are
adding  this  to  Link  Liberation  2.0)

What was your business like before using Link Liberation?

Business  is  good,  selling  our  own  products,  generating  leads,  etc.

What positive changes has Link Liberation helped you achieve in your business?
More  natural  traffic  via  strategic  linking  and  building  a  natural  link  profile,  market  multipyers,  etc.

How has Link Liberation helped you make these positive changes?
Dan  leaves  no  stone  unturned.  He  not  only  tells  you  what  to  do  but  you  learn  the  WHY  of  everything
behind  his  philosophy  which  helps  you  solidify  all  the  tactics  in  techniques  so  you  can  take  smart
action,  not  just  action.

Got anything else you'd like to say?

If  you  have  struggled  getting  links  to  your  website,  and  feel  frustrated  with  all  the  old  methods  that
don't  work  you  owe  it  to  yourself  to  check  out  Link  Liberation.  I  don't  endorse  products  easily  but
Dan  is  in  the  trenches,  working  with  other  businesses  and  actually  knows  what  he's  talking  about.
Combine  that  with  his  ability  to  break  everything  down  to  where  a  2nd  grader  can  understand  and
you  can't  lose.  I  first  bought  a  product  from  Dan  in  2004  and  still  trust  his  advice  to  this  day.

What drew you to Link Liberation? (why did you buy the course)
Getting  links  is  the  hardest  part  of  SEO.    It's  also  the  most  expensive  part.    Anything  I  can  do  to  get
more  links  and  teach  someone  else  to  do  (outsource  for  cheap)  will  make  me  more  money.    Once
you  get  established  with  good  links  and  lots  of  links,  your  website  is  very  valuable.    The  trick  is
getting  good  links.  I  bought  the  course  because  I  wanted  to  get  more  links  and  make  more  money.

As far as using Link Liberation, what worked best for you?

recruiting  article  partners  and  giving  them  articles  with  our  links  embedded

Why??
It's  something  that  can  be  easily  reproduced  and  outsourced.    The  other  stuff  takes  a  bit  of  luck
and/or  a  lot  of  work  and/or  is  very  frustrating.

What was the most difficult about using Link Liberation?

Probably  determining  which  tactic  to  use  and  makes  sense  for  my  businesses.    Also,  getting  my
Virtual  Assistant  to  know  what  to  do  and  run  with  the  stuff.    As  a  business  owner  I  cold  decipher
what  do  and  what  should  be  used.    But  it's  tough  for  my  assistants.    The  need  a  step  by  step  tutorial
on  exactly  what  to  do.

What was your business like before using Link Liberation?

Pretty  good.

What positive changes has Link Liberation helped you achieve in your business?
It  helped  me  refocus  and  get  a  better  overall  understanding  of  link  building.  I  think  it  helped  us  get
more  links  and  traffic,  but  my  biggest  hold  up  has  been  outsourcing  these  tactics  in  a  cost  effective
way.    Some  things  are  just  too  expensive.    Once  I  get  a  handle  on  that,  I'll  have  huge  results.

How has Link Liberation helped you make these positive changes?
Gave  me  some  good  link  building  tactics  and  ideas.

What drew you to Link Liberation? (why did you buy the course)
I  knew  Dan  Thies  from  StomperNet  and  was  aware  that  he  provides  the  most  effective  linking
advice  on  the  internet.  Any  course  Dan  provides  will  be  advanced  and  well  worthwhile,  not  some
half-‐baked  fluff.

As far as using Link Liberation, what worked best for you?

Learning  to  write  content  for  syndication  -‐  develop  relationships.

Why??
Multiplied  the  results,  got  better  authority  links.

What was the most difficult about using Link Liberation?

Changing  my  thinking  to  use  marketing  instead  of  gimmicks.

Why??
It's  harder  to  do  it  the  right  way,  but  the  results  are  better  and  they  last.

What was your business like before using Link Liberation?

Scattered,  not  enough  focus.

What positive changes has Link Liberation helped you achieve in your business?
Focus  my  marketing  on  one  core  business.

How has Link Liberation helped you make these positive changes?
Treat  SEO  as  part  of  an  entire  marketing  strategy.

What drew you to Link Liberation? (why did you buy the course)
Link  building  truly  is  (or  feels  like)  being  trapped,  so  the  thought  of  being  liberated  from  this  is
appealing.

As far as using Link Liberation, what worked best for you?

I'd  love  to  tell  you  that  I  am  the  perfect  student  and  immediately  implement  everything  I  learn.  I'd
love  to.  Sadly  the  day-‐to-‐day  stuff  got  in  the  way.  However  as  a  direct  result  of  the  lessons,  I  have
several  leverage  engines  planned.

What was the most difficult about using Link Liberation?

Making  the  time  to  watch  the  lessons.  I  know  that  it  might  not  flow  so  well,  but  my  preference  is  for
7x  10  minute  lessons  each  week  than  1x  70  minute  lesson.  [Dan’s  note:  many  students  had  this
comment,  so  all  of  the  lessons  in  Link  Liberation  2.0  will  be  broken  up  into  shorter  10-‐15  minute
sessions]

Why??
That's  how  my  brain  works  I  guess.

What was your business like before using Link Liberation?

I'm  a  one  man  band  trying  to  do  everything  with  little  time  to  spare.

What positive changes has Link Liberation helped you achieve in your business?
It  answered  a  nagging  doubt  I  had  about  a  particular  domain  I  own.  This  domain  includes  my  main
keyword  but  despite  this,  it  was  going  to  be  difficult  to  rank  well  on  my  own.  So  I  am  going  to  build
a  leverage  engine  with  this  domain  and  encourage  my  market  to  contribute  content.  I  am  confident
that  this  will  attract  much  more  interest  and  therefore  links,  than  if  I  had  tried  to  keep  this  to
myself.

What drew you to Link Liberation? (why did you buy the course)
I  bought  the  Link  Liberation  course  because  Dan  and  Leslie  are  the  experts  in  that  field.

As far as using Link Liberation, what worked best for you?

The  index  drivers  have  worked  for  me.

Why??
Once  I  finally  understood  it  worked  well  for  me  and  got  alot  of  my  content  indexed  for  me  and  even
more  of  links  pointing  to  my  content  indexed

What was the most difficult about using Link Liberation?

Trying  to  get  a  grip  on  how  it  all  came  together.

Why??
Because  there  was  so  much  content  to  keep  track  of  hard  sometimes  to  envision  how  it  would  all  tie
together.  [Dan’s  note:  the  new  course  starts  off  with  a  “big  picture”  view  to  explain  the  whole  plan]

What was your business like before using Link Liberation?

My  business  was  making  good  money  before  I  started  Link  Liberation

What positive changes has Link Liberation helped you achieve in your business?
I  got  a  lot  more  content  out,  more  of  my  links  indexed  and  many  more  links  pointing  to  my  site.

How has Link Liberation helped you make these positive changes?
I  got  a  lot  more  #1  listings  on  google  which  double  my  sales  this  year.  I  have  at  over  100  listings  on
the  first  page  of  google  now  and  growing.

Wesley Atkins

URL/web site
choyungteareviewed.com

What drew you to Link Liberation? (why did you buy the course)
Because  I  knew  Dan  Thies  only  puts  out  quality  content  and  a  link  building  course  from  him  would
be  golden.  There  is  just  so  much  junk  out  there  with  CB  launches  everyday  and  Dan's  teaching  style
and  knowledge  is  always  top  quality  and  a  breath  of  fresh  air.

As far as using Link Liberation, what worked best for you?

Mapping  out  the  entire  market  using  delicious  bookmarks.  Such  a  simple  idea,  but  so  effective  in
terms  of  research.

Why??
Because  everything  can  be  bookmarked  with  a  single  click  of  the  mouse  and  nothing  needs  to  be
copied  and  pasted  into  Excel.

What was the most difficult about using Link Liberation?

Getting  good  links  from  article  syndication  and  creating  a  high  quality  list  of  syndication  partners  to
keep  supplying  unique  content  too,  which  I  thought  would  be  the  most  powerful  tactic.

Why??
Because  everytime  someone  syndicates  the  article,  it  is  either  a  scraper  or  the  links  are  just
stripped  out  of  the  content.  [Dan’s  note:  this  is  one  of  the  primary  reasons  why  we  needed  to  build
the  Link  Liberation  2.0  software]

What was your business like before using Link Liberation?

Very  unorganized  and  cluttered.

What positive changes has Link Liberation helped you achieve in your business?
A  clear  direction  on  taking  SEO  from  A  to  Z.

How has Link Liberation helped you make these positive changes?
Dan's  teaching  style  is  second  to  none.  Sure  he  gets  technical  sometimes,  but  its  nothing  that  can't
be  understood.

What drew you to Link Liberation? (why did you buy the course)
Needed  to  have  a  consistant  approach  to  link  building;  Dan  has  always  steered  me  in  the  proper
direction  so  I  signed  up  and  am  pleased  I  did.

As far as using Link Liberation, what worked best for you?

Article  marketing  with  the  follow  up  approach  that  Dad  taught.

Why??
It  is  an  easy,  systematic  approach  that  makes  sense  to  me.

What was the most difficult about using Link Liberation?

Lot's  of  information  to  absorb.  My  first  reaction  was  to  try  to  do  all  of  it  but  determined  I  need  to
pick  and  choose  what  works  for  our  company.

Why??
Our  company  does  not  have  many  resources  work  work  on  a  broad  plan.  It  is  clear  that  someone
with  more  resources  would  be  able  to  apply  more  than  what  we  do.

What was your business like before using Link Liberation?

Being  a  seasonal  business,  we  always  build  great  links  "in  season";  our  struggle  has  been  to  build  in
"off  season".

What positive changes has Link Liberation helped you achieve in your business?
Link  liberation  helps  us  leverage  our  great  link  building  in  season  with  good  link  building  in  off
season.

How has Link Liberation helped you make these positive changes?
Systematic  approach  to  link  building  execution  AND  a  great  level  of  education  on  the  nuts  and  bolts
of  why  it  works.

Have you developed any new strategies, tactics, and/or techniques as a result of Link

What drew you to Link Liberation? (why did you buy the course)
I  have  been  struggling  for  two  years  and  made  no  money  from  IM  but  then  signed  up  for  Howies
local  biz  course  and  found  my  niche  in  local  seo.  I  needed  extra  guidance  on  link  building  and  your
course  came  up  at  that  time.

As far as using Link Liberation, what worked best for you?

I  have  utilised  the  first  few  modules.

Why??
Easy  to  understand  and  apply.

What was the most difficult about using Link Liberation?

As  I  acquired  some  local  seo  clients  I  got  overwhelmed  with  the  job  and  information.

Why??
The  later  modules  required  more  time.  At  present  I  have  ten  seo  clients.  It  is  difficult.

What was your business like before using Link Liberation?

SEO  business  was  non  existent.

What positive changes has Link Liberation helped you achieve in your business?
It  gave  me  a  start  and  the  extra  focus  needed  to  kick-‐start  the  linking  process.

How has Link Liberation helped you make these positive changes?
Just  having  the  education  on  hand  kept  me  focused.    I  have  only  just  managed  to  take  control  of  the
work  involved  in  the  business  and  look  forward  to  revisiting  the  modules.

Got anything else you'd like to say?

My  top  performing  client  is  a  wedding  shop  that  was  new  a  year  ago  and  now  has  2000  visitors  a
month.  The  client  has  noticed  a  great  increase  in  sales  due  to  high  rankings.

What drew you to Link Liberation? (why did you buy the course)
To  discover  how  to  improve  website  marketing  and  understand  how  to  remove  the  wheat  from  the
chaf  when  it  comes  to  the  plethora  of  advice  out  there.

As far as using Link Liberation, what worked best for you?

Quality  article  marketing  and  looking  for  high  quality  links.

Why??
It  has  had  a  much  better  effect  on  my  sites  over  simple  directory  linking  and  it's  more  rewarding.

What was the most difficult about using Link Liberation?

A  little  too  technical  in  places  without  step-‐by-‐step  information.

Why??
I  didn't  feel  I  should  have  to  fill  in  the  gaps  technically.

What was your business like before using Link Liberation?

Getting  along  nicely  but  there's  definitely  been  an  upsurge  in  traffic  and  conversions  for  that
matter.

What positive changes has Link Liberation helped you achieve in your business?
Thinking  of  it  as  ovrall  marketing  and  not  just  link-‐building.

How has Link Liberation helped you make these positive changes?
Engaging  in  the  community  and  writing  about  things  that  could  help  people.

What drew you to Link Liberation? (why did you buy the course)
I've  been  a  follower  and  student  of  Dan  and  Leslie  from  StomperNet.    They  know  their  stuff  hands
down  as  good  as  anyone  on  the  planet.    When  they  launched  LL  1.0,  I  knew  this  was  bleeding  edge
tactics  that  will,  if  applied,  launch  me  and  keep  me  at  the  top.        I  know  Dan  and  Leslie's  teaching
style  is  sensible  and  no-‐nonsense.    Just  hard  and  actionable  points  that  makes  me  money.        It  was  a
non-‐brainer  for  me  to  jump  into  LL  1.0.

As far as using Link Liberation, what worked best for you?

What  has  worked  great  for  me  is  the  concept  of  "Bigger  is  Better"  on  the  web.    All  things  being
equal,  large  sites  win.    Hands  down.    This  prompted  me  to  install  a  process  to  grow  my  own  site
steadily  and  naturally.    Taking  care  of  efficient  internal  linking  structure  at  the  same  time.    We  did
this  using  a  subdomain  blog  but  anything  will  work.

Why??
Because  as  our  site  grows,  we  leverage  more  and  more  of  our  internal  links.    And  that  is  one  thing
that  we  can  control  entirely.    And  it's  super  easy  to  outsource.    I  never  even  think  about  it  anymore.

What was the most difficult about using Link Liberation?

What's  hard  for  me  is  to  implement  the  Social  Media  portion  of  LL  1.0.

Why??
I  do  not  feel  entirely  comfortable  yet  with  engaging  potential  customers  in  that  manner.    I  know  it  is
something  I  must  do.    LL  1.0  offered  some  awesome  concepts  in  social  media  marketing.

What was your business like before using Link Liberation?

My  business  was  doing  fairly  well  prior  to  LL  1.0.    But  the  tactics  and  strategies  propelled  me  to  the
next  level  and  kept  me  there.

Dave  Poon,  engravedgiftcreations.com   Page  19  of  70

What positive changes has Link Liberation helped you achieve in your business?
LL  1.0  helped  me  looking  at  marketing  promotion  as  my  link  building  and  not  the  other  way
around.    If  I  market  the  right  way  to  the  right  audience,  links  will  build  naturally.    And  those  are  the
best  type  of  links  and  the  ones  that  Google  loves  the  most.

How has Link Liberation helped you make these positive changes?
It  took  repeated  listenings,  but  Dan  finally  was  able  to  drill  into  my  head  we  don't  build  links  for  the
sake  of  link  building,  but  rather  to  promote  a  business  and  look  at  it  from  a  person  to  person
standpoint.

Got anything else you'd like to say?

Dan  and  Leslie.    I  know  you  guys  barely  know  me  if  at  all,  but  you  two  are  the  backbone  and
inspiration  to  my  business.    Your  generosity  to  share  has  offered  me  a  dream  lifestyle.    A  big
personal  thank  you  from  me  and  my  family  to  you  both.

What drew you to Link Liberation? (why did you buy the course)
I  knew  that  links  were  important  for  a  webs  site  to  get  prominence  -‐  plus  I  liked  Dan's  no  BS  style  of
providing  rock  solid  information.

As far as using Link Liberation, what worked best for you?

Getting  involved  in  forums

Why??
I  realised  that  I  had  to  become  the  go-‐to  guy  in  our  market  and  start  building  a  reputation

What was the most difficult about using Link Liberation?

The  depth  of  information  covered  in  the  course  is  good  however  more  detailed  guides  for  each
segment  would  have  been  better.

Why??
I'm  a  step  1,  step  2,  step  3...  learner  and  pick  up  things  quickly  when  in  written  map  /  guide  /  plan
format.  Going  back  through  videos  &  slides  to  searcg  for  something  is  a  pain.

What was your business like before using Link Liberation?

I  hadn't  even  started  -‐  it  was  a  completely  new  website  that  commenced  about  week  6  of  link
liberation.

What positive changes has Link Liberation helped you achieve in your business?
I  finally  understood  how  linking  really  works  and  what  it  can  do  for  a  site.  I  didn't  really  use  1/10th
of  the  tactics  in  Link  Liberation  but  still  got  great  results  from  what  I  even  learned  about  internal
linking  etc

How has Link Liberation helped you make these positive changes?
Just  added  to  my  general  education  and  internet  marketing  expertise

Have you developed any new strategies, tactics, and/or techniques as a result of Link
Liberation that you are willing to share with others?

Peter  Montague,  fridgeandpower.com.au   Page  21  of  70

I  didn't  realise  how  much  traffic  you  can  get  from  Yahoo  message  boards  until  a  chance  post  drove
substantial  visitors  to  my  site  and  38%  of  those  opted  in  to  a  product  pre-‐launch  autoresponder.

Got anything else you'd like to say?

For  someone  starting  with  close  to  zero  experience  about  building  links,  Link  Liberation  was  a
tremendous  eye  opener  on  the  many  ways  to  get  links  that  will  help  grow  your  web  site  not  damage
it.

What drew you to Link Liberation? (why did you buy the course)
I  was  hired  to  be  the  SEO  manager  for  a  client.  They  wanted  to  build  an  authority  site  on  Network
Marketing:    onlinemlmsecrets.com/mlm-‐business/

As far as using Link Liberation, what worked best for you?

Creating  a  content  factory  workflow  using  link  collector  &  hiring  writers...  content
distribution/syndication

Why??
In  this  client's  market,  other  types  of  links  were  kinda  hard  to  get.    So  content  creation  and
syndication  was  the  best  choice.

What was the most difficult about using Link Liberation?

There  were  some  great  ideas  that  weren't  applicable  for  my  project.  would  have  liked  to  have  had
some  more  checklists,  process  maps,  or  cheat  sheets  to  use.    I  created  some  based  on  the  material,
which  was  a  good  thing...  just  would  have  been  kinda  nice  to  have  some  that  were  already  made
that  I  could  modify.    A  break  down  of  example  daily,  weekly,  monthly  activities  for  different  types  of
projects  would  have  been  super  cool  too.

Why??
very  limited  time  so  just  would  have  been  cool  to  have  ways  to  quickly  reference  the  material.  more
examples  of  real  workflows  would  have  helped  me  quickly  create  my  own.

What was your business like before using Link Liberation?

We  were  pretty  much  just  starting,  had  captured  page  one  rankings  on  one  or  two  easy  terms.  So
we  knew  that  the  SEO  model  could  work  for  the  client,  but  were  aware  that  more  competitive  terms
would  require  more  skill.    We  were  struggling  to  get  traction  for  these  more  competitive  terms

Glen  McNiel,  glenmcniel.com/   Page  23  of  70

What positive changes has Link Liberation helped you achieve in your business?
We  now  rank  page  one  for  some  competitive  terms  that  bring  in  a  very  significant  amount  of  traffic,
leads,  and  sales

How has Link Liberation helped you make these positive changes?
The  things  I  learned  in  Link  Liberation  touched  every  aspect  of  our  SEO  process,  helped  my  think
systemically  and  make  better  choices  about  where  to  invest  time.    Resource  management  was  one
of  the  most  important  things  I  learned.

Got anything else you'd like to say?

We  aren't  doing  everything  perfectly.    In  fact,  some  things  like  google  analytics  are  pretty  messy.
I'm  not  actively  managing  the  SEO  project,  I've  taught  one  of  the  client's  employees  how  to  manage
the  systems  I  setup.  I'm  now  managing  their  IT  staff  in  general.    Despite  our  somewhat  messy,  fast
paced  environment,  we've  managed  to  get  enough  results  to  keep  us  engaged  in  working  on  SEO.
We're  probably  not  a  great  case  study,  but  I'd  definitely  be  willilng  to  share  whatever  valuable
insights  we've  learned  along  the  way.

What drew you to Link Liberation? (why did you buy the course)
I  had  a  been  a  follower  of  Dan  since  his  first  free  ebook.    So  when  he  offered  his  advice  on  how  to
get  links  -‐  I  was  hooked.

As far as using Link Liberation, what worked best for you?

Getting  a  bunch  of  articles  written  by  various  authors.

Why??
It  freed  me  up  to  focus  on  business  items

What was the most difficult about using Link Liberation?

Getting  my  articles  syndicated  by  others.

Why??
I  assume  that  the  information  that  I  was  writing  about  was  not  useful  (or  wanted)  by  other  people.

Have you developed any new strategies, tactics, and/or techniques as a result of Link
Liberation that you are willing to share with others?
Picking  the  right  content  is  critical  to  the  success  of  this  program.    I  originally  picked  content
strictly  related  to  my  very  narrow  niche.    Instead,  I  should  of  picked  a  larger  audience  so  that  I
could  have  more  people  pick  up  my  content.

What drew you to Link Liberation? (why did you buy the course)
Dan  Thies

As far as using Link Liberation, what worked best for you?

The  broad  premise  of  consistently  creating  high  quality  content

Why??
I  am  realizing  natural,  quality  editorial  backlinks.

What was the most difficult about using Link Liberation?

The  delays  in  posting  material  [Dan’s  note:  I  had  some  tech  issues,  which  is  one  reason  why  we  are
using  a  different  platform  for  the  course  –  and  hiring  professional  video  editors]

Why??
It  was  a  little  annoying  (to  wait).  I  found  the  content  itself  to  be  very  user  friendly  and  easily
digested.

What was your business like before using Link Liberation?

Not  many  natural  backlinks.

What positive changes has Link Liberation helped you achieve in your business?
Hard  to  put  numbers  to  it,  but  the  natural  backlinks  due  to  my  change  in  mindset  about  how  to
procure  backlinks,  has  definitely  contributed  to  increased  ranks/traffic/sales

How has Link Liberation helped you make these positive changes?
My  entire  mindset  was  changed  when  I  took  the  course.  So,  I  would  no  longer  have  to  rely  on  gray
hat  backlink  methods...that  did  in  fact  work,  but  were  certainly  not  optimum  as  a  long  term
business  strategy.

Have you developed any new strategies, tactics, and/or techniques as a result of Link
Liberation that you are willing to share with others?

Doug,  greenearthbamboo.com   Page  26  of  70

The  basic  concept  of  losing  the  grey  hat  backlink  methods,  and  relying  more  on  creating  quality
content.

Got anything else you'd like to say?

I  just  need  a  hug.

[Dan’s  note:  as  you  may  have  seen  in  the  “Ranking  Triangle”  video,  Doug’s  been  getting  some  big
hugs  from  some  great  sites,  in  the  form  of  links,  since  we  interviewed  him  for  this  case  study.  “PR7

What drew you to Link Liberation? (why did you buy the course)
Was  working  in  the  Casino  niche  at  the  time,  and  wanted  to  learn  some  solid  advanced  tactics  to
build  genuine  quality  links.

As far as using Link Liberation, what worked best for you?

The  technical  aspects

Why??
Was  very  useful  to  understand  how  I  could  target  existing  links  and  get  them  improved,  as  well  as
how  to  make  the  necessary  tweaks  to  my  site  to  make  the  links  work  more  effectively.

What was the most difficult about using Link Liberation?

Sitting  down  and  watching  the  videos

Why??
Purely  for  time  reasons  at  that  time.  Despite  downloading  to  my  phone  with  the  best  intentions  of
watching  them  more  regularly,  it  never  happened.        This  however,  in  my  opinion,  cannot
necessarily  be  rectified.  The  content  warranted  to  long  videos/calls.  I  don't  feel  shortening  them
would  improve  the  course.

What was your business like before using Link Liberation?

Stuck  in  an  SEO  rut.  I  had  been  working  hard  on  the  every  day  link  building  techniques

What positive changes has Link Liberation helped you achieve in your business?
I  was  able  to  get  more  out  of  my  time  by  utilising  the  techniques,  and  get  more  value  for  our  site  (I
was  an  in  house  SEO)

How has Link Liberation helped you make these positive changes?
By  being  able  to  learn  from  some  of  the  best  in  the  business,  focussed  on  one  key  area,  rather  than
general  SEO  techniques.    It's  link  building  thats  starts  to  become  stale,  and  learning  these
techniques  has  put  me  ahead  of  most  people.

I  am  now  just  beginning  to  put  it  into  practice  :(.  When  I  purchased  this  course,  was  not  ready  to

information  yet  to  get  the  sites  that  are  worth  approaching  to  offer  more  content.

What was the most difficult about using Link Liberation?

So  far  as  I  begin  and  think  about  the  long  term,  for  my  industry  the  most  difficult  thing  about  this
course  for  me  is  the  best  way  to  implement  the  strategy  into  my  business.  The  course  has  really

Article  marketing

process  right  it  juts  flowed  from  there.

investment.  I  was  sometimes  up  to  the  small  hours  but  learning  and  taking  in  the  content  from  an

Why??
Only  so  many  hours  in  the  day.

What drew you to Link Liberation? (why did you buy the course)
What  drew  me  to  the  course  was  the  creator  of  it.  I  was  in  Stompernet  for  over  2  years  before  Andy
Jenkins  left  and  I  have  been  exposed  to  a  lot  of  Dan's  ideas  and  teachings  and  I  have  followed  almost
all  of  them  and  to  this  day  I  have  not  discovered  something  that  Dan  recommended  not  to  work  out
in  the  fashion  that  he  said  it  will

As far as using Link Liberation, what worked best for you?

The  best  thing  that  I  got  out  of  the  course  is  how  easy  it  is  to  create  content  for  your  own  site  and
increase  the  number  of  internal  links  as  well  as  number  of  pages.  The  system  Dan  shared  was  truly
an  eye-‐opener  for  me  and  I've  been  using  it  every  since.

Why??
I  operate  a  couple  of  ecommerce  sites  and  in  the  past  it  has  been  very  difficult  for  me  to  create  page
with  really  good  content  on  them.  Because  of  the  nature  of  the  ecommerce  sites,  most  of  the  content
comes  from  the  descriptions  of  the  products.  Using  Dan's  system  of  blog  posts  made  a  huge  impact
on  the  performance  of  my  site  in  the  search  engines  due  to  all  the  new  internal  links  and  content

What was the most difficult about using Link Liberation?

Sometimes  I  got  overwhelmed  by  the  information  shared.  While  I  was  trying  to  implement  one
technique,  Dan  would  share  a  new  one  and  it  is  a  really  hard  decision  if  I  should  go  after  the  new
one  or  stick  with  the  old  one.

Why??
The  pace  of  the  course  was  really  nice  but  in  terms  of  implementing  the  techniques  offered  I  needed
more  time  so  it  was  hard  to  keep  up,  not  so  much  with  the  information  delivered  but  with  the  actual
implementation.

What was your business like before using Link Liberation?

My  business  was  doing  OK  before  LL  due  to  the  exposure  I  had  to  Dan's  techniques  from
StomperNet.  I  was  however  still  strugling  with  some  of  the  link  building  and  content  creation
processes  and  due  to  to  that  I  was  having  troubles  getting  a  good  position  for  2  of  my  main
keywords.

Konstantin  Angelov,  kcplush.com   Page  33  of  70

What positive changes has Link Liberation helped you achieve in your business?
Ever  since  I  implemented  some  of  the  techniques  from  Link  Liberation  I  was  able  to  get  in  the  top  3
for  my  main  2  keywords  and  due  to  that  I'm  getting  40%  more  orders  than  before.

How has Link Liberation helped you make these positive changes?
It  really  opened  my  eyes  on  how  easy  it  is  to  get  good  quality  links,  what  quality  links  actually
means  and  how  easy  it  is  to  create  content  for  your  own  sites.

Have you developed any new strategies, tactics, and/or techniques as a result of Link
Liberation that you are willing to share with others?

Needed  a  good  strategy  for  link  building.  Knew  and  trusted  the  quality  of  Dan  Thies's  teaching.

As far as using Link Liberation, what worked best for you?

I'm  one  of  the  StomperNet  Apprentices  who  last  fall  took  advantage  of  Miroslav  Chodak's  link
building  services,  based  on  Link  Liberation.    Hiring  Miroslav  freed  up  my  time  for  having  to  do  all
the  link  getting  myself.

What was the most difficult about using Link Liberation?

Keeping  tabs  on  how  Miroslav  and  his  outsourcers  were  doing  with  the  linking.

Why??
Knowing  the  system  myself,  I  wanted  to  be  sure  they  were  following  it  and  that  the  caliber  of  their
Hubpages  and  articles  were  good.

What was your business like before using Link Liberation?

I  actually  use  it  on  3  sites.  One  had  over  400  links,  mostly  natural.  The  other  two  had  few.

What positive changes has Link Liberation helped you achieve in your business?
Many  of  my  keywords  on  all  3  sites  have  been  moving  up  steadily  in  the  SERPs.  On  one  with  few
links  initially,  lymediseaseblog.com,  I'm  now  on  SERP  1  or  within  striking  distance  on  SERP  2  for
my  main  keywords.  Opt  ins  to  my  list  have  begun  to  increase,  with  3-‐4  a  day  (it's  not  a  huge  market
:-‐)  )

How has Link Liberation helped you make these positive changes?
By  giving  my  sites'  a  natural  looking  link  profile.

What drew you to Link Liberation? (why did you buy the course)
Dan  &  Leslie!    Two  of  the  best  SEOs  I  know  and  learn  from.    You  can  not  go  wrong  learning  from
both  of  them.

As far as using Link Liberation, what worked best for you?

Everything!    I  have  applied  all  the  techniques  and  they  have  worked  great  for  me  and  for  my  SEO
clients

Why??
It  just  works!  if  you  follow  the  steps  it  will  work  for  you.

What was the most difficult about using Link Liberation?

May  be  not  having  a  software  to  automate  a  few  things.

Why??
It  takes  time  to  do  but  it  could  be  automated  a  little  with  Leslie  new  software

What was your business like before using Link Liberation?

I  have  been  doing  SEO  for  clients  for  7  years  and  Link  liberation  helped  my  SEO  business  to  provide
a  better  service  to  my  customers

What positive changes has Link Liberation helped you achieve in your business?
Many  positive  changes,  for  one,  provide  a  better  SEO  service  to  my  clients,  and  also  rank  my  own
ecommerce  sites  higher  in  google.

How has Link Liberation helped you make these positive changes?
By  providing  a  step  by  step  process  that  works!

Have you developed any new strategies, tactics, and/or techniques as a result of Link
Liberation that you are willing to share with others?
I  have  use  free  hosting  blogs  to  use  as  index  drivers  and  source  of  links  to  level  1  links

What drew you to Link Liberation? (why did you buy the course)
Wanted  to  build  links  in  an  efficient  manner

As far as using Link Liberation, what worked best for you?

The  concepts  and  some  of  the  ideas  for  systematizing  and  automating  link  building,  like  using
outsourced  services  to  do  submissions.

Why??
Using  these  services  freed  up  time  to  do  other  things.

What was the most difficult about using Link Liberation?

It  was  pretty  simple  to  use  as  a  whole,  it  is  just  that  we  still  had  to  create  our  own  step  by  step
process  to  follow.  [Dan’s  note:    this  is  why  we  needed  to  develop  software  &  other  tools  for  LL2.0]

Why??
We  needed  to  convert  some  of  the  concepts  and  steps  into  easy  to  follow  step  by  step  actions  that
we  could  outsource.

What was your business like before using Link Liberation?

A  lot  of  the  work  was  done  manually  before.  This  course  helped  with  clarifying  some  of  the
questions  about  link  building.

What positive changes has Link Liberation helped you achieve in your business?
The  key  benefit  was  helping  to  provide  a  framework  for  our  link  building.

How has Link Liberation helped you make these positive changes?
By  being  clear  about  what  works  and  what  to  focus  on,  it  was  easier  to  decide  on  the  steps  to  take
for  link  building.

What drew you to Link Liberation? (why did you buy the course)
I  need  to  be  number  1  and  number  2  for  my  top  keywords  to  get  enough  people  to  visit  my  site.

As far as using Link Liberation, what worked best for you?

Getting  others  to  write  articles  for  me  and  get  them  published  in  as  many  places  as  I  can

Why??
Leverage,  I  don't  have  to  do  everything  myself.

What was the most difficult about using Link Liberation?

Getting  started.

Why??
Worry  about  the  quality  of  the  articles,  having  to  micro  manage  writers,  links,  keyword  research
and  all  that.  I  solved  all  that  by  creating  a  step  by  step  process  (system)  to  transform  it  into  a  cookie
cutter  pattern  (Eric  Shannon  helped  a  LOT  too)

What was your business like before using Link Liberation?

Just  starting.  Lot  of  "Knowledge"  but  zero  application.

What positive changes has Link Liberation helped you achieve in your business?
I  saw  how  easy  it  was,  created  a  plan  an  put  it  into  action.  I  reached  top  ten  for  some  of  my  sites  and
still  working  on  reaching  top  3

How has Link Liberation helped you make these positive changes?
Dumm  it  down  to  me  so  I  could  get  other  people  do  the  job.  I  stopped  worrying  about  not  knowing
what  to  do.  That's  the  big  thing  for  me.  A  step  by  step  plan  took  me  there.  It  would  be  awesome  if
you  could  provide  a  30  or  60  day  plan.  [Dan’s  note:  Great  feedback,  so  done,  and  done  –  for  LL2.0]

What drew you to Link Liberation? (why did you buy the course)
I  knew  you  from  Stompernet  where  I  was  a  member  till  last  year.

As far as using Link Liberation, what worked best for you?

Creating  articles  and  video  content  for  distribution  to  get  links  back  to  category  and  product  pages

Why??
Because  Eric  Shannon  showed  how  this  can  get  lots  of  quality  links  and  higher  SERP's

What was the most difficult about using Link Liberation?

Finding  quality  websites  and  webmaster  contact  info.  I  would  try  to  contact  the  webmaster  and
never  get  much  response  back  for  linking  requests.  I  also  need  a  better  way  of  getting  a  match  to  the
webmaster  and  unique  content  distribution  with  links  included.

Why??
Because  many  webmasters  like  myself  are  getting  spam  requests  everyday  for  linking  to  bogus
websites  and  wanting  to  buy  links  on  our  sites  that  is  a  scam.

What was your business like before using Link Liberation?

I  was  showing  up  on  the  second  page,  maybe  lower  first  page  results,  depending  on  how
competitive  the  term  is.  I  learned  how  target  keywords  as  well,  and  focus  on  certain  keywords  and
not  general  keywords  in  a  category.

What positive changes has Link Liberation helped you achieve in your business?
It  showed  me  that  there  are  many  ways  to  get  links  and  that  quality  links  are  better  than  getting  a
larger  number  links  than  your  competition.

How has Link Liberation helped you make these positive changes?
It  shows  me  that  there  are  multiple  ways  to  get  links,  not  just  traditional  methods.  That  having  a
few  highly  specific  links  are  better  than  having  thousands  of  PR1  and  PR2  links

Jeffrey  Meier,  NoiseFreeHeadphones.com   Page  41  of  70

What drew you to Link Liberation? (why did you buy the course)
I  decided  to  take  the  Link  Liberation  course  for  two  main  reasons:      1.  As  an  affiliate,  i  was  getting
poor  results  regarding  organic  traffic.  I  needed  a  roadmap  that  would  help  me  to  get  again  and
again  great  results  when  doing  SEO.    2.  As  a  consultant,  i  was  getting  requests  to  help  my  clients  for
their  SEO.  However,  i  didn't  feel  enough  confident  to  help  them  on  that  side.  I  needed  a  strong  and
systemic  approach  that  i  would  believe  would  let  me  deliver  a  good  value,  whatever  market  they
are  in.

As far as using Link Liberation, what worked best for you?

I  would  say  that  this  is  the  way  to  approach  SEO  teached  in  Link  Liberation:  The  simple  fact  to
follow  a  roadmap,  with  fondamentals  pillars  to  stick  to  and  additional  levels  of  work  that  can  be
added  to  it.

Why??
On  a  general  level,  it  simply  allowed  me  as  an  affiliate  and  consultant  to  get  a  positive  ROI  when
doing  SEO.  It  also  gave  confidence  to  my  clients  because  they  see  that  i  deliver  results.  Plus,  as  they
see  the  quality  of  my  work  and  how  well  it  makes  sense  because  it  is  clearly  structured,  i  am  able  to
charge  more  than  my  competitors...

What was the most difficult about using Link Liberation?

I  have  encountered  some  issues  to  use  at  its  full  potential  content  distribution,  especially  at  the
beginning.

Why??
This  is  due  to  the  fact  that  i  feel  that  the  article  distribution  was  quite  overused  by  many  internet
marketers  (in  US),  and  i  kind  of  struggled  to  find  how  to  create  and  distribute  content  that  would
get  attention.

What was your business like before using Link Liberation?

I  was  almost  100%  dependant  on  ppc  advertising  for  both  affiliate  marketing  and  consulting,  and
had  no  traffic  from  SEO.

cyrille  kriegel,  powerupmybiz.fr/   Page  44  of  70

What positive changes has Link Liberation helped you achieve in your business?
1.  A  big  part  of  my  affiliate  commissions  are  SEO-‐based.  It  means  i  simply  get  more  money  from  the
same  campaigns,  and  it  limits  my  risks  of  being,  as  any  big  change  in  paying  advertising  methods  for
affiliates  is  much  less  risky  for  my  business  than  before.      2.  For  the  consulting  part,  i'm  helping
rather  small  businesses,  who  were  really  much  needing  for  SEO,  and  not  only  paying  advertising
methods.  Now  that  i  took  link  liberation  course,  i'm  able  to  offer  them  better  packages  to  them,
even  if  they  have  a  limited  budget.

How has Link Liberation helped you make these positive changes?
By  teaching  from  A  to  Z  a  method  to  take  whatever  website  and  build  a  steady  and  regularly
growing  traffic  to  it.

spot  for  my  main  keyword.

As far as using Link Liberation, what worked best for you?

I  have  to  say  the  mindset  outlined  in  LL  was  the  main  thing  that  I  took  away  from  the  course.  I  had
been  guilty  of  producing  some  marginal,  if  not  awful  content  to  push  out  to  the  mass  syndication
market  in  the  hope  of  getting  links.  Now  I  am  more  selective  and  invest  more  in  being  seen  as  a

IMPLEMENTATION!!  Finding  the  time  and  resources  to  write  and  create  content  is  the  main
stumbling  block  for  me.

What was your business like before using Link Liberation?

My  SERPS  were  OK  but  i  had  been  stuck  in  7th  for  my  main  keyword  for  about  1  year  without
budging.

What positive changes has Link Liberation helped you achieve in your business?

guest  blogging  on  other  blogs  and  even  have  guest  bloggers  contributing  content  to  my  my  blog.

How has Link Liberation helped you make these positive changes?
I  could  talk  all  day  about  tactics  and  strategies  but  fundamentally  LL  helped  me  with  a  shift  in
mindset  that  has  revolutionized  I  approach  the  online  and  offline  marketplace.  It's  not  just  about

What drew you to Link Liberation? (why did you buy the course)
I  wanted  to  find  the  most  efficient  way  of  acquiring  good  quality  long  term  links  which  were  not
spammy  or  likely  to  get  me  banned.

As far as using Link Liberation, what worked best for you?

Moving  from  the  noise  to  higher  quality  and  finding  places  to  host  articles  while  establishingh
relationships.

Why??
It  is  a  question  of  what  works  in  your  market  this  enabled  me  to  get  better  quality  links.

What was the most difficult about using Link Liberation?

Apart  from  finding  time  to  do  it  all  -‐  the  technical  week,  although  as  Dan  emphasised  much  of  that  is
not  even  necessary.

Why??
Regarding  time  -‐  there  is  a  lot  of  content,  in  addition  to  the  videos  there  were  questions  and
answers  as  well  as  other  guest  contributions.  I  am  not  a  geek  so  the  technical  side  was  not
interesting  to  me  and  I  did  not  have  the  time  to  implement  it  as  Dan  says  even  if  you  implement  just
as  small  amount  of  the  strategies  and  tactics  you  will  be  ahead  of  your  competition  so  I  think  it  is
best  to  concentrate  on  what  you  know  best.

What was your business like before using Link Liberation?

Although  the  business  was  well  established  we  wanted  to  generate  more  traffic  to  our  websites.

What positive changes has Link Liberation helped you achieve in your business?
I  allowed  us  to  consolidate  our  position  as  number  one  in  the  search  engines  for  a  major  keywords.

How has Link Liberation helped you make these positive changes?
Link  Liberation  identified  the  key  ways  to  obtain  the  initial  links  in  a  link  building  campaign  but
that  was  only  the  first  step,  it  demonstrates  how  by  building  upon  the  initial  hard  work  of
promoting  the  site  in  key  places  by  establishing  relationships  and  ensuring  articles  get  indexed  as

James,  salobrenavillas.com   Page  49  of  70

well  as  increasing  the  authority  of  the  pages  where  the  links  appear.  At  the  same  time  I  was  able  to
introduce  processes  and  workflows  through  the  use  of  Dan's  leverage  engines  which  made  the
process  far  easier  and  more  efficient.

Have you developed any new strategies, tactics, and/or techniques as a result of Link
Liberation that you are willing to share with others?
In  order  to  get  pages  with  links  indexed  I  have  recognized  the  importance  of  pingbacks  to  my  blog.  -‐
What  was  it  that  Dan  said?  "When  your  trees  fall  in  the  woods  let  somebody  know"?

Got anything else you'd like to say?

This  must  be  the  most  thorough  course  on  link  building  out  there.  Admitedly  Dan  does  not  provide
a  push-‐button  solution  to  the  challenge  of  getting  new  links  but  if  you  implement  the  simple
strategies  he  speaks  about  linking  will  become  easier  than  ever  before.

What drew you to Link Liberation? (why did you buy the course)
There  were  a  lot  of  reasons  which  prompted  me  to  enroll  for  the  original  Link  liberation  course,  but
if  I  were  to  simply  shorten  it  down  to  one  basic  thing  -‐-‐  then  it  clearly  has  to  be  Dan's  reputation.  I
have  followed  Dan's  advice  for  more  than  3-‐4  years  and  value  his  content.  Apart  from  this,  I  run  an
online  marketing  agency  and  SEO  is  a  core  part  of  our  offering,  hence  I  am  always  looking  out  for
newer  and  better  ways  to  generate  long  term  links.

As far as using Link Liberation, what worked best for you?

When  I  enrolled  with  LL,  the  first  thing  that  caught  my  attention  was  the  fact  that  link  building  is
strategic  and  demands  a  unique  mindset.  The  initial  video  lesson  helped  me  a  lot  in  creating  a
mindset  which  was  always  centered  around  creating  "value"  links  and  not  just  links.  I  believe  this
change  is  mindset  is  one  very  unique  concept  the  Link  liberation  brings  to  the  table  and  it  surely
helped  me  the  most.

Why??
Well,  due  to  the  change  in  mindset  we  now  adapt  a  more  strategic  route  to  any  link  building  or  SEO
campaign  we  undertake.  Best  part  is,  I  used  the  LL  course  to  educate  my  team  and  I  see  a  great
change  in  the  way  they  have  started  working.  For  me,  to  see  an  an  average  Joe  who  just  submits
articles  to  generate  links  turn  into  a  refined  professional  who  thinks  more  about  creating  value  is  a
very  important  aspect.

What was the most difficult about using Link Liberation?

Nothing  was  really  difficult.  We  have  our  own  learning  curves  and  I  guess  the  training  was  well  laid
out.  I  guess  the  only  difficult  part  for  me  was  coping  with  the  sessions  as  I  had  lagged  behind  a  lot
due  to  a  hectic  work  schedule  and  traveling.

Why??
Why  -‐-‐  well  probably  because  it  was  not  a  course  that  was  offered  as  a  whole  in  one  go  and  was
spaced  out  over  a  weeks  and  at  times  I  found  myself  3  weeks  behind.

What was your business like before using Link Liberation?

Saumil  Patel,  saumilpatel.com   Page  51  of  70

My  business  was  doing  good  before  I  started  using  LL.  We  majorly  cater  to  B2B/B2C  clients  who
need  an  online  strategy.  SEO  is  something  that  we  are  very  well  known  for  and  my  biggest  problem
as  we  added  newer  clients  was  to  continuously  look  for  newer  and  better  avenues  for  link  building.

What positive changes has Link Liberation helped you achieve in your business?
As  stated  earlier  the  most  important  change  that  LL  helped  my  business  with  was  bring  a  very
disciplined  approach  to  the  way  we  did  our  link  building.  My  team  used  to  waste  a  lot  of  effort
generating  links  which  not  always  got  indexed  and  at  times  that  work  was  as  good  as  not  done.
With  the  tactics  showcased  in  LL,  we  were  able  to  plan  our  link  campaigns  and  then  work  efficiently
to  ensure  that  we  got  the  most  out  of  it.

How has Link Liberation helped you make these positive changes?
This  course  was  one  of  the  best  investments  I  made,  that  made  sure  that  my  team  members
developed  a  mature  mindset  around  link  building  and  also  optimized  the  work  that  we  did.

Have you developed any new strategies, tactics, and/or techniques as a result of Link
Liberation that you are willing to share with others?
Previously  our  motto  was  to  aggressively  build  links  and  not  focus  on  how  they  got  indexed.  After
studying  link  liberation  we  have  a  work  sheet  that  ensures  that  we  get  the  most  bang  from  any  link
that  we  generate.  This  is  especially  true  for  links  obtained  through  syndication  and  also  on  some
Web2.0  websites.  We  have  now  developed  a  routine  which  involves  a  deep  linking  process  and  we
also  use  RSS  feeds  to  get  the  URLs  which  have  our  links  indexed  hence  building  overall  authority  for
the  domain  name  we  are  promoting.

anoyed!  [Dan’s  note:  we  had  some  transcripts  &  notes  pages  available,  but  Nicks’  right  –  we  can  do

had  seen  your  earlier  work  with  seo  fast  start  and  i  had  used  your  techniques  in  the  early  days  to
good  effect.  after  a  year  or  so  i  checked  your  stuff  out  again  and  found  i  was  doing  a  lot  that  you
were  doing  and  think  we  are  quite  closely  aligned  in  how  we  approach  seo.  i  therefore  wanted  to
expand.

As far as using Link Liberation, what worked best for you?

my  understanding  of  the  leverage  improved.  i  was  able  to  train  and  show  my  staff  and  gain  more
benefit.

Why??
i  learned  how  to  mix  the  practical  art  of  writing  with  the  relationships.  this  has  been  the  best  return
for  me.

What was the most difficult about using Link Liberation?

I  thought  the  videos  were  too  long.  I  found  myself  downloading  and  watching  them  in  parts.  [Dan’s
note:  as  noted  earlier  –  a  lot  of  people  asked  for  the  10-‐15  minute  length  we’re  now  using  in  LL2.0]

What was your business like before using Link Liberation?

i  used  to  spend  money  on  producing  lots  of  low  quality  articles  and  distribution  services.

What drew you to Link Liberation? (why did you buy the course)
Two  things:  Dan  Thies  and  Dan  Thies's  reputation  in  the  marketplace  not  only  for  his  credibility
and  real  success  but  the  social  proof  that  supports  this.

As far as using Link Liberation, what worked best for you?

1.  Bite  size  chunks  and  clarity  of    training.

Why??
It  meant  that  I  could  absorb  and  roll  out  tactics  without  having  a  detrimental  effect  on  my  site.
Walking  before  I  could  ran  (then  fall)

What was the most difficult about using Link Liberation?

Overcoming  the  initial  (physcological)  barrier  that  true,  effective  link  building  is  beyond  someone
like  me.  And  success  can  be  achieved  without  dodgy  methods  that  do  not  provide  sustainability  in

What was your business like before using Link Liberation?

Good  but  always  had  to  be  sired  up  by  serious  ppc  spend.

What positive changes has Link Liberation helped you achieve in your business?
Sizeable  increase  in  visibilty  on  both  longtail  and  highly  competitive  head  terms

How has Link Liberation helped you make these positive changes?

Link  Liberation  is  a  highly  valuable  tool  in  any  serious  online  marketeers  armoury.  The  creation  of  a

Dan  Thies  -‐  he's  a  goldmine  of  information  regarding  linking.

As far as using Link Liberation, what worked best for you?

Level  2  link-‐building

Why??
Better  quality  links  that  stay  indexed  for  longer.

What was the most difficult about using Link Liberation?

Processes  weren't  mapped  out  extremely  clearly.

Why??
It  would  be  pretty  easy  to  give  some  cheat  sheets  or  one-‐page  pdfs  that  say  "these  are  the  steps  for
this  method,  off  you  go".  [Dan’s  note  –  done,  and  done,  Sam  –  thanks  for  the  feedback]

As far as using Link Liberation, what worked best for you?

It´s  Dan´s  complex  way  to  analyze  the  link  building  challenges  which  supported  my  own    approach.

Why??
Because  it  shows  you  have  to  work  on  several  levels  at  the  same  time,  without  crediting    the  same
importance    to  each  of  the  tactics.  -‐-‐>  combination  a  n  d    hierarchy  of  tactics.

What was the most difficult about using Link Liberation?

It  was  much  stuff,  which  could  perhaps  have  been  structured  even    more  like  a  mindmap.

Why??
I  am  always  interested  in  breaking  complexity    down  to  abbreviations  if  possible.

What drew you to Link Liberation? (why did you buy the course)
Originally  I  took  the  course  because  I  believe  that  linking,  both  internally  and  externally  are  the
keys  to  staying  at  the  top  of  the  search  engines.          Now  the  completion  is  fierce  for  my  main  site  and
I  keep  on  vacillating  between  position  3  and  7.  I  still  need  to  get  up  there  permanently  and  need
help  with  Google's  new  algorithms.

As far as using Link Liberation, what worked best for you?

Linking  to  sites  that  are  edu  and  gov  sites  which  is  very  hard  to  get.  Also,  getting  on  blogs  that  are
.edu  site  and  have  the  same  main  keyword  phrase  as  my  site.  Having  other  sites  that  a  family
member  owns  with  the  same  theme.

Why??
Why??  Because  that  is  what  Google  demands  from  this  main  keyword  phrase  site.

What was the most difficult about using Link Liberation?

Time  and  money.  I  am  in  a  catch  22  situation  where  I  cannot  hire  too  many  people  to  do  all  the
work  that  needs  to  be  done.

What was your business like before using Link Liberation?

Was  vacilliating  between  page  one  and  page  two.

What positive changes has Link Liberation helped you achieve in your business?
I  have  gotten  my  main  keyword  page  sale  pages  up  to  #1  and  #2.  I  am  also  more  aware  of  what
needs  to  be  done.

How has Link Liberation helped you make these positive changes?
Focus  and  knowledge.

Have you developed any new strategies, tactics, and/or techniques as a result of Link
Liberation that you are willing to share with others?
Hired  more  people  to  follow  link  liberation  strategies,  gotten  more  backlinks.

Got anything else you'd like to say?

*I  am  willing  to  be  interviewed  but  not  willing  to  share  the  image  or  name  of  my  site.  I  made  that
mistake  once  and  will  never  do  it  again.  [Dan’s  Note:  People  who  rip  off    others’content  are  why  it’s

As far as using Link Liberation, what worked best for you?

recruiting  article  partners  and  giving  them  articles  with  our  links  embedded  It's  something  that  can
be  easily  reproduced  and  outsourced.    The  other  stuff  takes  a  bit  of  luck  and/or  a  lot  of  work  and/or
is  very  frustrating.

What was the most difficult about using Link Liberation?

Probably  determining  which  tactic  to  use  and  makes  sense  for  my  businesses.    Also  staying  awake,
the  powerpoint  videos  aren't  realy  stimulating.    I'd  also  like  more  screencast  stuff.    Show  screen
shots  and  software  in  the  video,  instead  of  all  bullet  points.        Also,  getting  my  Virtual  Assistant  to
know  what  to  do  and  run  with  the  stuff.    As  a  business  owner  I  cold  decipher  what  do  and  what
should  be  used.    But  it's  tough  for  my  assistants.    The  need  a  step  by  step  tutorial  on  exactly  what  to
do.  [Dan’s  note:  and  maybe  some  software  that  gives  them  step  by  step  tasks…]

Have you developed any new strategies, tactics, and/or techniques as a result of Link
Liberation that you are willing to share with others?

Jeff  Haefner*,  surefiresoccer.com   Page  61  of  70

The  tips  and  techniques  to  recruit  article  partners  were  the  most  helpful.    I  also  learned  lots  of
things  about  index  drivers,  etc  but  I  haven't  utilized  those  tactics  because  I'm  too  busy  and  it  was
too  expensive  to  outsource.

Got anything else you'd like to say?

It's  been  a  while  so  I  almost  have  to  look  at  my  notes  to  remember  all  the  stuff  in  the  course.

What drew you to Link Liberation? (why did you buy the course)
I  wanted  to  start  an  ecommerse  business  and  I  knew  that  organic  ranking  was  key  to  cheap  and
high-‐quality  traffic.    No  one  teaches  better  SEO  than  Dan  Thies.    So  I  signed  up  for  this  course.

As far as using Link Liberation, what worked best for you?

Content  creation  and  distribution  strategies,  basic  SEO  tuneup,  and,  holistic  understanding  of  how
search  engines  work.  Doing  so  put  me  ahead  of  99%  of  SEO's  out  there.  Process  based  approach
was  the  best  approach.    If  I  had  tried  to  do  all  this  on  my  own,  I'd  still  be  stuck  in  gold-‐mine  of
information.    PROCESS  was  the  key.

What was the most difficult about using Link Liberation?

finding  distribution  channels  -‐  but  after  doing  it  20  to  30  times,  it  got  easier.  It  was  difficult  because
my  niche  was  very  narrow.    What  I  did  is  generate  broad  level  content  and  I  was  accepted  very  well
as  a  guest  blogger.

What was your business like before using Link Liberation?

I  did  not  have  a  business  before  using  Link  Liberation.    LL  was  my  first  attempt  to  create  an

What drew you to Link Liberation? (why did you buy the course)
I  have  been  following  Dan  since  he  did  his  first  course  back  in  2006.  I  purchased  the  course  because
I  am  investing  in  my  future  and  for  any  new  online  ventures  that  I  would  like  to  do.  I  have  not  done
much  seo  since  2006  but  I  am  well  poised  to  make  my  leap  of  faith  soon  and  the  link  liberation  is
my  tool  that  will  help  me  to  do  so.

As far as using Link Liberation, what worked best for you?

Article  marketing  -‐  I  have  done  level  one  and  did  touch  upon  level  2.  The  problem  though  is  that  my
market  was  not  that  competitive  so  the  little  article  marketing  I  have  done  has  cained  the  search
results.

What positive changes has Link Liberation helped you achieve in your business?
Number  #1  Google  rankings

What drew you to Link Liberation? (why did you buy the course)
I  was  originally  a  "bad"  Stomper.    Meaning,  I  was  paying  for  Stomper,  but  totally  over-‐whelmed  and
not  getting  much  accomplished.    I  found  I  kept  gravitating  to  Dan  and  Leslie's  work.    When  they
started  Link  Liberation  I  signed  up,  and  now  am  a  member  in  SEO  Brain  Trust.    I  *still*  don't  know
what  I  am  doing,  but  at  least  feel  like  I  am  accomplishing  more  :))            I  truly  believe  it  all  comes
down  to  "content"  and  "links."      Using  your  methods,  our  online  store  went  from  zero  inbound  links
(ok,  actually  sixteen  inbound  links)  to  over  12,000  today.            Thanks  guys.

As far as using Link Liberation, what worked best for you?

Generating  inbound  links  and  coming  up  with  content.

Why??
Umm,  because  I  really  did  not  know  HOW  to  do  either  (generate  inbound  links  and  write/generate
new  content)

What was the most difficult about using Link Liberation?

Getting  Dan  to  slow  down  in  the  videos.    Dude,  a  word  of  advice:  decaffeinated!  [Dan’s  note:  I’ll  go

How has Link Liberation helped you make these positive changes?
No,  you  mis-‐wrote  that  question.    It  is  *not*  "How  has  Link  Liberation  helped  you  make  these

As far as using Link Liberation, what worked best for you?

The  simple  framework  for  finding  and  evaluating  possible  link  partners

Why??

What was the most difficult about using Link Liberation?

Implementation.  There  was  lots  of  theory  (which  you  need  to  know)  but  the  execution  of  some  of

What was your business like before using Link Liberation?

Solid  based  on  helping  advise  clients  on  SEO

What positive changes has Link Liberation helped you achieve in your business?
Helped  me  appear  far  more  knowledgeable  regarding  SEO  and  specifically  links,  link  targeting,
evaluation  and  implementation  to  help  clients  achieve  higher  rankings.

How has Link Liberation helped you make these positive changes?
Due  to  my  marketing  background  and  analytical  nature  I've  been  able  to  target  profitable  keywords
and  target  those  head  keywords  far  better.  Only  time  will  tell  but  I  believe  that  this  may  well
become  far  more  important  with  the  roll  out  of  Google  Instant  as  lazy  searchers  settle  for  Google

strong  suggestion  from  my  Stompernet  Coach  and  strong  belief  the  instructors  knew  what  they

As far as using Link Liberation, what worked best for you?

I  am  still  implementing  some  of  the  baseline  features  due  to  a  long  delay  in  getting  my  site
converted.    The  level  one  link  building  is  the  thing  that  has  worked  best.

Why??
This  is  very  easy  to  understand    and  develop  a  process  for.    This  process  can  then  be  moved  to  staff
hired  off  shore  to  do  and  theie  effectiveness  is  easy  to  monitor

What was the most difficult about using Link Liberation?

Finding  the  time  to  go  through  the  training,  putting  practice  into  production  and  then  out  sourcing
the  process.    This  was  all  a  time  constraint  and  not  a  knowledge  transfer  issues.

Why??
Probably  because  I  had  to  to  too  many  things  in  the  same  time  period  -‐-‐  day  job,  real  estate
management  and  then  my  business  development

What was your business like before using Link Liberation?

What positive changes has Link Liberation helped you achieve in your business?
Subscription  to  my  newsletter  has  doubled  (and  will  double  again  when  my  site  gets  active  again)
Sales  increased  on  primary  site.  Sales  were  created  on  secondary  sites.

How has Link Liberation helped you make these positive changes?
The  links  gathered  from  the  level  one  article  marketing  increased  focused  traffic  to  my  blog  site
(resulting  in  increased  subscriptions)      Links  also  created  traffic  for  my  secondary  site
