Wanted to learn link building the right way (i.e., a proven, Google-‐approved, sustainable approach).

To be honest, I've been so swamped with software development for CashKeywords Pro -‐ not even
50% complete yet in terms of its tool set. However, I do share Dan's approach and techniques with
others while highly recommending Dan's products.

Even though I have not applied Link Liberation's techniques to my business, its principles have
greatly impacted what I do. For example, before LL I had paid someone highly recommended to
me who ended up spinning my articles and spamming via SE Nuke. Once I got into LL I not only
ended my relationship with this person, I began to design new tools around LL's ideas.
A better (no-‐hyped) keyword toolset within Cash Keywords Pro. More tools are to come, some of
which will utilize some of LL's techniques. For example, I'll probably build a tool that sits on top of
Google Alerts, similar to what AlertRank.com did before they shut down. This will filter out
spammy sites giving users better info to work with.
Right now I'm working with a few people for setting up blogs/sites the right way (according to
Dan's and Google's bests practices). Dan's link collector, margin multiplier, and content pump
techniques will be utilized (with my own flavor and supporting tools) to help these people. This
might end up becoming a training program. As I get closer, I'd love to share ideas with you, send
people your way for further training, etc. My program will focus a bit less on tactics and more on
handling the technical setup and details for users so they can primarily focus on creating good
content.

Getting links is the hardest part of SEO. It's also the most expensive part. Anything I can do to get
more links and teach someone else to do (outsource for cheap) will make me more money. Once
you get established with good links and lots of links, your website is very valuable. The trick is
getting good links. I bought the course because I wanted to get more links and make more money.

It's something that can be easily reproduced and outsourced. The other stuff takes a bit of luck
and/or a lot of work and/or is very frustrating.

Probably determining which tactic to use and makes sense for my businesses. Also, getting my
Virtual Assistant to know what to do and run with the stuff. As a business owner I cold decipher
what do and what should be used. But it's tough for my assistants. The need a step by step tutorial
on exactly what to do.

Pretty good.
It helped me refocus and get a better overall understanding of link building. I think it helped us get
more links and traffic, but my biggest hold up has been outsourcing these tactics in a cost effective
way. Some things are just too expensive. Once I get a handle on that, I'll have huge results.

I'd love to tell you that I am the perfect student and immediately implement everything I learn. I'd
love to. Sadly the day-‐to-‐day stuff got in the way. However as a direct result of the lessons, I have
several leverage engines planned.

Making the time to watch the lessons. I know that it might not flow so well, but my preference is for
7x 10 minute lessons each week than 1x 70 minute lesson. [Dan’s note: many students had this
comment, so all of the lessons in Link Liberation 2.0 will be broken up into shorter 10-‐15 minute
sessions]

That's how my brain works I guess.

I'm a one man band trying to do everything with little time to spare.
It answered a nagging doubt I had about a particular domain I own. This domain includes my main
keyword but despite this, it was going to be difficult to rank well on my own. So I am going to build
a leverage engine with this domain and encourage my market to contribute content. I am confident
that this will attract much more interest and therefore links, than if I had tried to keep this to
myself.

I've been a follower and student of Dan and Leslie from StomperNet. They know their stuff hands
down as good as anyone on the planet. When they launched LL 1.0, I knew this was bleeding edge
tactics that will, if applied, launch me and keep me at the top. I know Dan and Leslie's teaching
style is sensible and no-‐nonsense. Just hard and actionable points that makes me money. It was a
non-‐brainer for me to jump into LL 1.0.

What has worked great for me is the concept of "Bigger is Better" on the web. All things being
equal, large sites win. Hands down. This prompted me to install a process to grow my own site
steadily and naturally. Taking care of efficient internal linking structure at the same time. We did
this using a subdomain blog but anything will work.
Why??
Because as our site grows, we leverage more and more of our internal links. And that is one thing
that we can control entirely. And it's super easy to outsource. I never even think about it anymore.

What's hard for me is to implement the Social Media portion of LL 1.0.
Why??
I do not feel entirely comfortable yet with engaging potential customers in that manner. I know it is
something I must do. LL 1.0 offered some awesome concepts in social media marketing.

My business was doing fairly well prior to LL 1.0. But the tactics and strategies propelled me to the
next level and kept me there.

LL 1.0 helped me looking at marketing promotion as my link building and not the other way
around. If I market the right way to the right audience, links will build naturally. And those are the
best type of links and the ones that Google loves the most.
It took repeated listenings, but Dan finally was able to drill into my head we don't build links for the
sake of link building, but rather to promote a business and look at it from a person to person
standpoint.

I finally understood how linking really works and what it can do for a site. I didn't really use 1/10th

In this client's market, other types of links were kinda hard to get. So content creation and
syndication was the best choice.

There were some great ideas that weren't applicable for my project. would have liked to have had
some more checklists, process maps, or cheat sheets to use. I created some based on the material,
which was a good thing... just would have been kinda nice to have some that were already made
that I could modify. A break down of example daily, weekly, monthly activities for different types of
projects would have been super cool too.
Why??
very limited time so just would have been cool to have ways to quickly reference the material. more
examples of real workflows would have helped me quickly create my own.

We were pretty much just starting, had captured page one rankings on one or two easy terms. So
we knew that the SEO model could work for the client, but were aware that more competitive terms
would require more skill. We were struggling to get traction for these more competitive terms

The things I learned in Link Liberation touched every aspect of our SEO process, helped my think
systemically and make better choices about where to invest time. Resource management was one
of the most important things I learned.

We aren't doing everything perfectly. In fact, some things like google analytics are pretty messy.
I'm not actively managing the SEO project, I've taught one of the client's employees how to manage
the systems I setup. I'm now managing their IT staff in general. Despite our somewhat messy, fast
paced environment, we've managed to get enough results to keep us engaged in working on SEO.
We're probably not a great case study, but I'd definitely be willilng to share whatever valuable
insights we've learned along the way.

It was a little annoying (to wait). I found the content itself to be very user friendly and easily
digested.

Not many natural backlinks.
Hard to put numbers to it, but the natural backlinks due to my change in mindset about how to
procure backlinks, has definitely contributed to increased ranks/traffic/sales
My entire mindset was changed when I took the course. So, I would no longer have to rely on gray
hat backlink methods...that did in fact work, but were certainly not optimum as a long term
business strategy.

Purely for time reasons at that time. Despite downloading to my phone with the best intentions of

necessarily be rectified. The content warranted to long videos/calls. I don't feel shortening them

Stuck in an SEO rut. I had been working hard on the every day link building techniques

What drew me to the course was the creator of it. I was in Stompernet for over 2 years before Andy
Jenkins left and I have been exposed to a lot of Dan's ideas and teachings and I have followed almost
all of them and to this day I have not discovered something that Dan recommended not to work out
in the fashion that he said it will

The best thing that I got out of the course is how easy it is to create content for your own site and
increase the number of internal links as well as number of pages. The system Dan shared was truly
an eye-‐opener for me and I've been using it every since.
Why??
I operate a couple of ecommerce sites and in the past it has been very difficult for me to create page
with really good content on them. Because of the nature of the ecommerce sites, most of the content
comes from the descriptions of the products. Using Dan's system of blog posts made a huge impact
on the performance of my site in the search engines due to all the new internal links and content

Sometimes I got overwhelmed by the information shared. While I was trying to implement one
technique, Dan would share a new one and it is a really hard decision if I should go after the new
one or stick with the old one.
Why??
The pace of the course was really nice but in terms of implementing the techniques offered I needed
more time so it was hard to keep up, not so much with the information delivered but with the actual
implementation.

My business was doing OK before LL due to the exposure I had to Dan's techniques from
StomperNet. I was however still strugling with some of the link building and content creation
processes and due to to that I was having troubles getting a good position for 2 of my main
keywords.

It really opened my eyes on how easy it is to get good quality links, what quality links actually

never get much response back for linking requests. I also need a better way of getting a match to the

Because many webmasters like myself are getting spam requests everyday for linking to bogus

I was showing up on the second page, maybe lower first page results, depending on how
competitive the term is. I learned how target keywords as well, and focus on certain keywords and

I decided to take the Link Liberation course for two main reasons: 1. As an affiliate, i was getting
poor results regarding organic traffic. I needed a roadmap that would help me to get again and

Link Liberation identified the key ways to obtain the initial links in a link building campaign but
that was only the first step, it demonstrates how by building upon the initial hard work of
promoting the site in key places by establishing relationships and ensuring articles get indexed as

There were a lot of reasons which prompted me to enroll for the original Link liberation course, but
if I were to simply shorten it down to one basic thing -‐-‐ then it clearly has to be Dan's reputation. I

online marketing agency and SEO is a core part of our offering, hence I am always looking out for

When I enrolled with LL, the first thing that caught my attention was the fact that link building is

Originally I took the course because I believe that linking, both internally and externally are the
keys to staying at the top of the search engines. Now the completion is fierce for my main site and
I keep on vacillating between position 3 and 7. I still need to get up there permanently and need
help with Google's new algorithms.

Linking to sites that are edu and gov sites which is very hard to get. Also, getting on blogs that are
.edu site and have the same main keyword phrase as my site. Having other sites that a family
member owns with the same theme.

Getting links is the hardest part of SEO. It's also the most expensive part. Anything I can do to get
more links and teach someone else to do (outsource for cheap) will make me more money. Once
you get established with good links and lots of links, your website is very valuable. The trick is
getting good links. I bought the course because I wanted to get more links and make more money.

recruiting article partners and giving them articles with our links embedded It's something that can
be easily reproduced and outsourced. The other stuff takes a bit of luck and/or a lot of work and/or
is very frustrating.

Probably determining which tactic to use and makes sense for my businesses. Also staying awake,
the powerpoint videos aren't realy stimulating. I'd also like more screencast stuff. Show screen
shots and software in the video, instead of all bullet points. Also, getting my Virtual Assistant to
know what to do and run with the stuff. As a business owner I cold decipher what do and what
should be used. But it's tough for my assistants. The need a step by step tutorial on exactly what to
do. [Dan’s note: and maybe some software that gives them step by step tasks…]

Links are massively important and Dan and Leslie really know their stuff. I knew it would all be
SCAM free.

The simple framework for finding and evaluating possible link partners
Why??
Easily laid out

Implementation. There was lots of theory (which you need to know) but the execution of some of
the strategies was difficult unless you had programming skills. [Dan’s note: we spent an entire
week on “technical” stuff, and I think we did it too early in the course, so we’re just going to put that
at the end in LL2.0, since most people, like Ian, will not see a need to use it anyway]

Solid based on helping advise clients on SEO
Helped me appear far more knowledgeable regarding SEO and specifically links, link targeting,
evaluation and implementation to help clients achieve higher rankings.
Due to my marketing background and analytical nature I've been able to target profitable keywords
and target those head keywords far better. Only time will tell but I believe that this may well
become far more important with the roll out of Google Instant as lazy searchers settle for Google
SERPs prior to their intended longer tail keyword search. Hey -‐ we are all time poor!!!

strong suggestion from my Stompernet Coach and strong belief the instructors knew what they
were talking about.

I am still implementing some of the baseline features due to a long delay in getting my site
converted. The level one link building is the thing that has worked best.
Why??
This is very easy to understand and develop a process for. This process can then be moved to staff
hired off shore to do and theie effectiveness is easy to monitor

Finding the time to go through the training, putting practice into production and then out sourcing
the process. This was all a time constraint and not a knowledge transfer issues.
Why??
Probably because I had to to too many things in the same time period -‐-‐ day job, real estate
management and then my business development

Just a start up with limited sales
Subscription to my newsletter has doubled (and will double again when my site gets active again)
Sales increased on primary site. Sales were created on secondary sites.
The links gathered from the level one article marketing increased focused traffic to my blog site
(resulting in increased subscriptions) Links also created traffic for my secondary site
