Work Description : Pouring of concrete above the cut off level

SUBJECT : Request for prolong keeping the minimum 1500mm over height of concrete above the cut off level
without removing the top of concrete partly.

You are notified of the following deficiency. Failure to address the deficiency within 1 day shall result in a Non-Conformance
Notification and/or other action in accordance with the contract.

With reference to the clause number D 4.3.8 Engineer’s requirements volume 3 of 5, the pile shall be concreted to a
minimum over height of 1500mm above the pile cut off level for chiselling off the top of concrete down to sound hard
concrete.
It is observed that the time of concrete pouring you have kept a minimum height of 1500mm from the cut off level of P382-6,
P383-6, P384-2 and P384-6. After completing the concrete pouring you had removed the 500 to 700mm over height concrete
within 24 hours from the top. You had kept the remaining height of concrete from the cut off level for the future pile head
chiselling off to get sound hard concrete.
In that case you are instructed to keep the total minimum 1500 mm over height concrete from the cut off level for the
chiselling off for future working pile construction. Request for preparing a technical remedial measure for the already
constructed pile so that it conforms to the requirements of the specification.
