The Book Of John John 10:1-6

“Truly, truly, I say to you, he who does not enter the sheepfold by the door but climbs in by another
way, that man is a thief and a robber. But he who enters by the door is the shepherd of the sheep.
To him the gatekeeper opens. The sheep hear his voice, and he calls his own sheep by name and
leads them out. When he has brought out all his own, he goes before them, and the sheep follow
him, for they know his voice. A stranger they will not follow, but they will flee from him, for they do
not know the voice of strangers.” This figure of speech Jesus used with them, but they did not
understand what he was saying to them.

There’s a Word for that! Hope

Are you weary? By the 84th day of school, anyone running on their own strength will be weary, yet
the promises for strength comes to all of us who hope in the Lord.

Isaiah 40:31 (NIV) – ..but those who hope in the Lord will renew their strength. They will soar on

wings like eagles; they will run and not grow weary, they will walk and not be faint.

Dear Heavenly Father,

What a beautiful promise, Lord. What a beautiful
image we see of an eagle soaring. We trust in You,

dearest Lord and definitely need our strength

renewed. Help us to soar on wings of eagles over
the daily pressures of school life. Show us how to
run and not grow wearing by Your strength, and

teach us to walk through the issues at our school

and not faint. We need You Lord and look to You
for this gift. Thank You in the gracious name of our
Lord and Savior, Jesus the Christ. Amen.
