(1) Academic diploma: a copy of the applicant's latest academic diploma or certificate of university

Programs

Short-term Intensive Training    Training in this category lasts less than six weeks. It caters to overseas students of
various levels, with emphasis on such communicative skills as Chinese speaking and listening. Focused communicative
practice occurs in simulated life situations, characteristic of vividness and delightfulness. Short-term Intensive Training

Registration Notice

Target Students     The programs are offered to the international students who want to improve communicative
competence in Chinese within a short period of time.

    Students are grouped into five classes of A, B, C, D ,E and F according to their respective levels upon admission to
meet the correspondent HSK standards of primary, intermediate and advanced levels.

   A detailed description of each class is as follows:


students who have no prior experience in learning Chinese or have
Class A learned Pinyin and mastered a small vocabulary, but cannot express
in fluent and complete sentences.

For students who know the basic Chinese grammar and commonly
Class B used sentence patterns and can participate in continuous conversation
related to daily topics and are able to talk in simple passages .

Class C For students who are able to retell longer passages and can conduct
conversations about common topics in relatively well-organized
paragraphs.

For students who can carry on discussions on daily topics at normal


Class D speed with the proper intonation, proper diction and coherent
sentences and demonstrate creativity and flexibility in using language.

For students who can read Chinese newspapers, understand radio


broadcasts and TV news programs and can express themselves
Class E
adequately, systematically and creatively, with the appropriate diction
and correct grammar.

For students who can read Chinese newspapers and literature works,
understand radio broadcasts and TV news programs and can express
Class F
themselves in spoken and written forms adequately, systematically
and creatively, with the appropriate diction and correct grammar.

Test and Certificates

Test Exams

    Short-term intensive scheme and 12-week schemes have a test before finishing the program . One semester intensive
scheme has two exams--- mid-term exam and final exam.

HSK ( Chinese Proficiency Test )


 Cooperating with State HSK Test Center, CICS offers its students three chances per year to take HSK tests.
 CICS has established cooperative relations with many overseas institutions and universities, where its course
credits are deemed and accepted as valid.
